I believe it depends upon how often camera goes "off" .. alerts you get that someone or something has triggered it. Have had wasps and bugs set off our garage camera :( Have not had to replace ours for about a month or more. If you have the Ring app on your phone, there is a battery charge check on it that you can look at to see the battery % left. This helps to know when to charge your spare battery to replace - takes about a day to charge a battery. Very easy to replace a battery, just pop out and pop in (we did not use the screws that comes with it to hold battery in place... so it is very easy to change). We have the regular ring cameras. Have not mounted this spotlight one yet.

Answer:	The keys are hard but I feel another feature may be more important. The keys are large and easy to hit because they use less keys. By making the "a" key also the cap locks with fn key, the keyboard is much easier to use considering it is the same width as a iPad.

Answer:	Yes, it's the 2nd generation. This is not for an iPad Air. Logitech has the best keyboard cases that I have encountered, they are tough and durable, mu husband is not easy on his at all.

Answer:	Toss it like I did. We owned two of these. I liked the keyboard but it often died or failed to work when unplugged. I had to use it plugged in at the kitchen counter. I just replaced it with a KVAGO that was cheaper and the keyboard is removable. It stays ON when unplugged! WOW.

Question:	How to turn the backlight on
Answer:	You cannot connect an LED direct to any voltage without a resistor, as it is not a linear resistance. Below a certain voltage, it won't conduct or light, but above a certain voltage (between 2-3 volts for typical LEDs) the LED will suddenly conduct large amounts of current resulting in very high power dissipation. Even if the LED does not burn out quickly, it will run hot. The resistor is installed in series with the LED to prevent that. I have used various colors of pre-wired EDGELEC LEDs available on Amazon, and they work very well off a range of voltages from 7 to 12 volts, and draw around 10 mA. The White LEDs are high efficiency, and are surprisingly bright, such that a single one could be used for a flashlight.

Answer:	Don’t know why. Mine work. One negative I have found is that when you start typing there is a delay in the words printing. It may start showing up about the third word which is very annoying. I should have gotten an Apple keyboard bit it was 1-1/2 the cost of this one so overall I am satisfied.

Answer:	I just received my keyboard today and after charging it, then using it for only a couple hours, it is failing to charge. The red charging light turns on but only for a few seconds.
