| Answer: | Initially I had the same problem. Push down and forward on the edge of the case (the spine of the book, if it were a book), so that the front cover extends out over more of the iPad. The magnets will now reach and turn off the display with a click. Turn the volume up at least 50% so you can hear the iPad click. |

| Answer: | Not that had to google "intrinsically safe" or anything, but the case keeps the iPad safe from impact. I can say I have not experienced any over heating issues with the case but water can get in. Case is all plastic and would not do much to impede any outside interference from nefarious individuals. My 6 year old assistant upgraded to a full size iPad, and I purchased a second replacement case for the mini when giving to the 2 year old assistant. I would say the old case still works but has seen significant "normal" wear and tear after 3 years of use. I haven't personally tested it from anything further than about 4 to 5 ft from the ground but my 2 yr old assistant has given the case flight lessons.
