Answer:	Yes. It sits very securely on my lap. But now that I think about it, I have never used it on a hard surface such as a table or counter top. The Flipy may slide on a hard surface when swiping, pushing, or turning. But I absolutely love using it in my lap. This is one of my favorite purchases so far!
