Answer: I can not say with a specific model. As long as it is true POE with sufficient output per port then it should. I use mine with a BV Tech 8 port POE switch that has 130W Max Power (up to 30W per port) and this works perfectly with the POE line extended 100 ft per line.

Answer: Yes, the second port can be used to connect to another device. I have a cat8 Ethernet cable coming from the second port to a 1 gb switch and have three other computers connected to that switch and the throughput is 1000mbs just as it is from the switch that this access point is connected to. No speed loss. My cable from switch that has xfinity internet up to the Netgear access point is cat7 heavy duty outdoor. I have had no issues or drops in speed.

Answer: The unifi manager is required if you have any meshed AP's. If you shut it down, they will lose connectivity, but the wired AP's will remain working.
Question: This is dumb! why doesn't it say if it comes with a poe injector or just a ac power supply? some here say it comes with poe and others say no
Answer: It comes with a 24v injector brick. The lite came in both a 24v only version and a 802.3af/24v version that was released in 2017 or 2018. The latter is what is currently manufactured so unless someone pawns new-old-stock off on you as new you should get an 802.3af compatible WAP (the box will have a "PoE+ compatible!" sticker on it). I have one of the old style 24v and one of the newer PoE ones.

Answer: I would recommend that customers do not paint the access point for the following reasons: Painting is a skill that varies in quality, often with unexpected side effects such as paint getting into RF and Ethernet connectors etc. The color can affect the thermal and MTBF properties of the device. Paint can plug critical holes needed for venting heat and/or draining moisture. Certain paints contain conductive properties that can diminish the RF performance. A painted product is considered a customer “modified” product rendering it unserviceable, therefore the manufacturer’s warranty is considered void. Unserviceable means the product was returned in a fashion differently than how it was sold. We need to be able to refurbish the product (as warranty repairs are often replacements) for expediency therefore it is not practical to repair and return a modified item. Rather than actually applying paint, a preferred solution to painting would be the use of colored plastic covers, referred to as "skins" many 3rd party companies offer these kinds of products (from custom colored skins) commonly available. Other companies that offer 3D print services that can make custom enclosures in any shape or form. Care should be taken when fully enclosing an Access Point to make sure proper heat placement occurs so you do not significantly reduce the thermal characteristics perhaps causing premature failures or a reduction in MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure).

The V3 device is identical in appearance to the EAP225. The EAP245V3 is a "wave 2" AP, which is the latest technology used for environments with multiple APs and multiple simultaneous clients.

Answer: This product is a wireless access point, often called simply an AP, or Access Point, and as such it doesn't have a WAN (wide area network) uplink port. You would connect this product to a regular LAN (local area network) port on an Ethernet (wired) router which in turn would be connected via its uplink port to a source of Internet access such as a cable modem that has been supplied to you as part of your cable company Internet access plan.
Question: How do I get this to work as an access point with my Xfinity gateway/modem/router? It's connecting but no internet
Answer: 1. You have to program the AC1200 using the admin account to act as an access point. Connect your pc directly to the AC1200. Turn the AC1200 on before you turn on your pc so that your pc gets a tcpip (internet) address that is compatible with the AC1200. 2. Login to the AC1200 with the admin account. Use your web brouser to get to the admin account. The default web address is usually 192.168.0.1 3. You have to disable the dhcp function on the AC1200. The Xfinity router needs to be the only device to assign dhcp addresses. If you don't disable the AC1200 from assigning dhcp addresses it will create a subnetwork that is separate from the Xfinity network using a different address range. (Usually starting with 192.168.000.002 to 192.168.000.255). 4. Setup any security settings and network names before you enable the access point mode. 5. Save your new settings and write down any passwords that you may have changed. 6. I also usually put a static IP address in the access point that is in the range of the Xfinity router. That way you can gain accesss to the AC1200 later because you know its address. 7. Plug in an ethernet cable from the Xfinity router to one of the 4 lan outputs of the AC1200. It might also work if you use the wan port (yellow connector) if Netgear updated their software. If you use one of the 4 outputs it guarantees that the access point will be part of the existing Xfinity network.
