Answer:	I found this answer on their installation manual pdf. We don’t recommend using the PLA6456 with a 2 prong outlet. There will be significant performance hit when going from 3 prongs to 2 in most cases, and in addition 2-prong to 3-prong adapters may cause a fire hazard by not allowing the PLA6456 to sit flush with the wall.

Answer:	I would like to give you some personal advice. Do not buy any type of Netgear extender. They do not work at all. What you need to do is get a expensive router that is the best thing for your Wi-Fi system. Amazon can supply you with that. Or go to Best Buy and test it out. Trust me extenders do not work. You’re throwing your money away.

Answer:	Try using the extender's IP address - just enter 192.168.1.250 in the browser window, while the unit is powered and in close proximity to your router, which should be powered also, of course !

Answer:	The main hub has a few Ethernet ports and that will give you the speed of Ethernet without comprimising speed.. I’m sure you can plug Ethernet from the satellite hubs but the speed would be the same as WIFI because it’s essentially just another wireless router accessing data wirelessly.. (if you’re speed is 300 mbs or less you wouldn’t have to worry about it anyhow..

Answer:	RBK23 Absolutely! Our Orbi routers and satellites are cross compatible. Please note, however, that the Orbi router can support up to 3 satellites and devices connected to the AC2200 devices may experience slightly slower speeds than those connected to the AC3000 ones (for example).
Question:	The description says good for internet plans upto 200 mbps. So is it really 2.2 gbps or is it 200 mbps
Answer:	Mine easily handles over 200 mbps. However, according to their advertisements, it can handle over 1 gbps. I recommend you check out some Youtube videos of people who do reviews of the Orbi. There are quite a few and they may mention speeds greater than 200 mbps.

Answer:	Yes. You can replace your current router with Nest Wifi router. But if you have a modem/router combo, you can't. Because you need a modem with a functional Wi-Fi network to connect your Nest Wifi router to. If that is the case, you can put your combo in Bridge mode or disable its Wi-Fi functionality, so that you can connect your Nest Wifi devices together to create a mesh network and avoid a Double NAT. Answer:	Yes. The Amazon pack is multiples of Routers. The routers do have ethernet backhaul. The comment about 200/200 is incorrect. I have some backhauled via cat6 and 5e and I get close to full speed at the spoke point. Now if you wireless to the point and hardwire to a computer past that, you're limited to the wireless speed. These are great units, you won't be disappointed unless you need really complicated network setups with VLANS or something

Question:	Does it work without wires? Can it wirelessly connect to my main router in the living room
Answer:	Not unless your main router is a Google OnHub (they support the mesh network capabilities needed). From Kate (Manufacturer):Google Wifi is a "mesh" Wi-Fi system, they are not extenders for your existing router. The first Wifi point plugs into your modem with an Ethernet cord, and plugs in to power. Others plug in to regular power outlets in your home. They connect wirelessly to one another to create a single Wi-Fi network within your home. If you have Ethernet ports throughout your house, you can also hardwire each point. If you hardwire the units, you will still get a single Wi-Fi network throughout your house and the points will use Ethernet for connectivity between each other.
Question:	How would I handle my wired devices? If this replaces traditional wireless routers I lose my 4 wired ports
Answer:	Each Wifi point has two Gigabit Ethernet ports. There 1 WAN and 1 LAN on the primary Wifi point (which must connect to your modem) and 2 LAN ports on each additional Wifi point.
Question:	Can I set up a guest network that is isolated from my main home network
Answer:	Yes, but what I like most about that, while I have a main network for my self with a very complicated password because might have client information on network, the kids or friends might be visiting in town and always had a guest network for them, but with the google wifi, I can allow them partial access to my network, being printers, apple tvs, rokus , or sound systems. I have had this only one day, I am in a ranch style home on 1 acre, with 2 in each front corner of house and one in middle of the rear of the house and get reception on entire 1 acre though not the greatest connection on the edges but still fast and stable. also good connection in detached garage/pool house, might add one more for the detached garage/poolhouse to go from good connection to great connection
Question:	If I have wired Ethernet throughout my house, can I physically plug in each unit to the network and have them function as one mesh wifi this way
Answer:	Yes, they work that way. The setup is: ------------ In words: 1- Connect the Main Google Wifi WAN port directly to the modem, then connect the LAN port to a switch. 2- Connect each ethernet cable from outlets in the house to the switch. 3- BEFORE connecting the other Google Wifi(s) to the Ethernet, you MUST pair/activate/create the mesh with the Main Google Wifi. You MUST do this for each Google Wifi that will be connected to the network. 4- After pairing/activation/mesh creation, then you can take them to the location where you want to connect them to an ethernet port. I have this setup and it works flawlessly.

Question:	Can systems like these be linked in a line? I mean instead of the satellite units having to be within range of the router, can I daiseychain them out
Answer:	Regardless if Orbi can be daisy chained with wired cable ... if you can daisy chain routers, why not just set up an AP system. If you can hard wired the AP, there is no need for Orbi and you get much better performance. As to daisy chaining Orbi, yes, you can do that.. but that defeats the purpose of using Orbi. The main technological advantage with Orbi is its ability to have a 3rd backhaul channel through wireless connection. If you can using hard wired... just go with the proven WLAN AP (http://pigtail.azurewebsites.net/tp-link/large-building.PNG)... my organization use it to deploy over 200 wireless devices on the same lan without much overhead degradation.
Question:	Is it 100 - 240 Volts
Answer:	It all depends upon where you buy it. In the USA it is supplied with 115V power supplies one for the router and one each for the Satellites, this is OK of you live in the USA or somewhere where they have 115v power in the homes. If you live in the UK buy them in the UK they come with 240v power supplies, so they are OK for the UK, but come with the UK 3 pin sockets. In Europe theu come with two pin European adaptors suitable for Europes 220 v power. The problem is if you buy it in one country and want to run it in another. Netgear do not sell the power supplies separately. I bought mine in the Black Friday sales in the USA and brought them to the UK. I had to buy power supplies from Germany that were suitable for 240 volts and adaptors for continental to UK sockets. Be careful, you ned to know exactly what the pin size is the pin lengt and the pin inside and pouside diameters. To save you hassle you need Plug-in power supply unit, 12 V, 1000 mA, with -ve polarity on the outside The pin that plugs into the ORBI should be 5.5mm outside diameter and the socket 2.5mm inside diam. The length of the pin is 12mm.

Question:	Does Orbi support ethernet back haul between the base station and satellites
Answer:	As of April/late May 2018, the latest firmware 2.1.4.10 has not only broken ethernet backhaul, but it also takes down your entire network such that no device can connect to the Internet if you leave the ethernet cable connected to satellite. There is no way to disable auto update of the firmware. I have had an open support case for nearly one month and have spent many, many hours in that time trying to troubleshoot. Never had this kind of issue with my Airport Extremes, which is no longer made, so I thought Orbi would be a good replacement given all the positive professional reviews. Answer:	Just go into the HP printer’s Setup/Network config and set a manual IP - 192.168.4.60 - and be done. That will save AirPrint and other misery as well.
Question:	Is there a separate modem I can buy that supports spectrum telephone service? I want this mesh system but need a Modem that supports my phone service
Answer:	You need to purchase your own modem and register it with Comcast, then you can add these as your WiFi router and return the Comcast Gateway you have now. You will have to tell comcast that you are doing this, then you don't have to pay their rental fee. I have my own modem and router, have for years. It pays for itself to do it this way!
Question:	Will this sync and interface with tp-link omada systems
Answer:	I had an older NetGear extender (5 years or so, plugged into the wall, dual band). I just bought this to replace it and like it a lot better. It automatically finds the signals and keeps you going. My NG extender gave me a 2G and a 5G connection separately. So I had to constantly disconnect my WiFi on devices and choose the other when the connection was crappy or lost. No more of that!! My internet is one thing now and that's worth the price of admission. Also, love love the app so that I can actually see all devices using it. And the security updates are great since I'm working from home now and have to use company programs.
Question:	I just installed this and apple is indicating wpa/wpa2 (tkip) is not considered secure. how can i configure this to wpa2 (aes) or wpa3 security type
Answer:	The bacons have to have a power source. If it is too hot, the bacons will be too hot and crispy. We found it better to do the bacons in our oven rather than plug them in. Try it.

Question:	My family has two appartments next to each other, both separate electrical installations. Would this work if we wanted to split the internet bill
Answer:	Yes the EX8000 used as a wifi extender you have the option of having a guest network. You can use same SSID name as your main router or use a different SSID altogether. I did have issues with more than one extender on the same network using same SSID name as main router so I had to change one of the extenders to a different SSID.
Question:	Has anyone connected a ps4 of xbox one to the wifi from the range extender? if so, signal and game play any good
Answer:	If you mean an AT&T router signal, yes. If you mean cell tower signal, then no.
Question:	Does it create a new sid or does it exteneded your current sid, so one does not have to switch to differing networks when in range
Answer:	the input voltage is from 100 to 240 volts
Question:	I don't understand how some people give this 4-5 stars and others can't get it to work and give it 1 star
Answer:	there are 4 ports. I use multiple ones as this is the only system I can find that does not change the network name but once a year I also have one break and have to replace it or hard reset it myself.
