Answer:	I would like to give you some personal advice. Do not buy any type of Netgear extender. They do not work at all. What you need to do is get a expensive router that is the best thing for your Wi-Fi system. Amazon can supply you with that. Or go to Best Buy and test it out. Trust me extenders do not work. You’re throwing your money away.
Question:	Does it need to be plugged in near the router
Answer:	Try using the extender's IP address - just enter 192.168.1.250 in the browser window, while the unit is powered and in close proximity to your router, which should be powered also, of course !

Answer:	The wifi range extender gets really warm when its plugged in. I personally keep it out of sunlight areas to avoid overheating Hope this helps

Answer:	any brand works, as long as its sfp+ , i used 10gtek fiber for switch to switch and to my gameing computer, then ipolex 10g rj45 to my home theater computer and to my server, then i used yuanley 1g to all my other 1g computers my switches were mikrotik switches a 8 port one and a 4port one, if you use fiber remember to use aqua fiber cables for 10g not orange they only carry up to 1g, for the modules make sure to match the brand of switch your using it will say in the description like mikrotik, unifi, cisco, d link, netgear, ect anyway this is the one i used for my asus card, 2 of 10 Gigabit SFP+ LC Multi-mode Transceiver, 10GBASE-SR Module for Mikrotik S+85DLC03D (850nm, DDM, 300m)

Answer:	Yes the EX8000 used as a wifi extender you have the option of having a guest network. You can use same SSID name as your main router or use a different SSID altogether. I did have issues with more than one extender on the same network using same SSID name as main router so I had to change one of the extenders to a different SSID.

Answer:	If you mean an AT&T router signal, yes. If you mean cell tower signal, then no.

Answer:	there are 4 ports. I use multiple ones as this is the only system I can find that does not change the network name but once a year I also have one break and have to replace it or hard reset it myself.

Answer:	There is no reason why it would not. I have two of them in my home and it is very easy to get it up in running in 5 to 10 minutes. I have paid much more for items that were not half as good as this I am pretty sure you will bee highly satisfied if you purchase this item.

Answer:	No, it is not a switch
Question:	Can this be set up with same ssid as the router so I don't need to switch when i move through the space
Answer:	When I set up mine, it automatically used the same router name. Try resetting it to default settings and see if that helps.
Question:	Can the antennas be replaced on this model with rp-sma connectors
Answer:	These look to be 6.19mm (male on the base side) if that helps, so I you can find the correct adaptor, maybe. Hope this helps.

However, I'm not able to hear much on Discord and the microphone doesn't seem to pick up my voice. I don't know if it's a thing with compatibility on Discord or if it's my mic. The mic appears to work for doing vocal commands with the computer though. I'm thinking it's a recognition on Discord or something I haven't found in the computer yet.

Answer:	Don’t know if you could attach it to the existing extender - should work. However, would definitely extend network if attached to the router. You would have a MESH network (with networks extended with the same name as those from the router) plus the existing networks with whatever name you’ve given them from the AC1200

Answer:	No... you will need to do some setup but the instructions are clear. If your existing cable modem has a "WPS" button on it then it is simple, if not then you will need to use a computer to get the AC1900 connected. This is going to be true with any of various devices you can buy to extend your Wifi, this device has good instructions and good signal strength would recommend. If you are not sure about how hard it is to setup you might want to take a look at the directions before you buy...
Question:	Will I be able to install 2 of these units to connect to the same main router
Answer:	range will be entirely dependent on what exactly the signal is trying to push thru. Open area with no walls or obstructions = greater range than trying to run this inside a house with multiple walls/brick/glass/etc. Unit claims to cover 2100sq ft. (or appx 195 sq meters) It repeats the signal on the second floor of my house just fine. And the WPS setup didn't work for me either, I had to navigate to it via web client and set it up. Many walk thrus on this online, so I won't bother posting that here.

Answer:	Yes, it can work either hardwired as an access point or wirelessly as an extender of your WiFi network. The key to making a seamless network extension is by using the same wireless password as you use for your existing WiFi. This way devices can roam and you don't need to login again. I would recommend a wireless extender if you receive a good enough signal at your desired location. I find my Netgear signal as the strongest in my house. Your home construction will determine your strength of reception.

To make sure that the gun safe has an agile response every time as I reach it, I did multiple times of scanning work for each finger to get all sides well registered, like re-scanning for 3-4 times.
