Answer:	Yes. It has several usable ethernet ports and will act as a switch. However, there are some third party usb wifi adapters on amazon that can be used with macs (including mac pro) to get wifi if you prefer that.

Answer:	reset your router with the pinhole in the back. press a paperclip in it until it clicks, then plug in the router. wait for the blinking amber light (10 seconds) then remove the paper clip. download app utility to your laptop/desktop. Plug one cable into the router and one cable into the network port. The app for iPhone usually picks this up but if it doesn't or if you don't have an iPhone try the cable approach I just explained. once its plugged in the apple utilility app should find it

Answer:	Yes. Definitely. I did precisely what you are asking. I had a three piece Google WiFi system, but was not happy with how close I would have had to keep each one together for decent performance. Where I had them, I was getting about half the data transfer rate I was expecting So, I replaced the one that was connected to my modem with the more powerful Nest router. The difference was amazing. I got an increase of about 50% in the throughput measured at each of the three Google WiFi nodes with two of them in the same location as before. Then, I put the one that was formerly attached to my cable modem in a new location to cover even more of the house. If you want to get really crazy, build your entire mesh with nothing but Nest routers. You give up the microphones and speakers of the less expensive Nest points (which I didn't want anyway), but gain more coverage and better performance. When I did that, my performance nearly doubled over what it was with the Google Wifi system I started with.

Answer:	no it wont
Question:	Can the 2 ethernet ports on a remote node be used to connect wired devices to the network? I have some wired devices located far away from the router
Answer:	Not by itself. You have to add the “powered” lightning to USB Camera Adapter as well. You plug the powered Lightning to USB camera adapter into the IPad, plug the power cable into the camera adapter, then finally plug the internet adapter’s USB port into the camera adapter’s USB receptacle and it will all work. That’s how I’m getting a wired internet connection on my iPad currently. This setup will also work to give your iPhones wired internet for those pesky updates out to transfer larger files. In order to use the internet adapter in Its own you need a powered USB hub. Oh yeah, you must use the power supply that came with your iPad for this to work. If you use a smaller power supply, like an iPhones, it will tell your setup requires too much power to work. As long as you use the power adapter for the iPad you’re good.
Question:	My existing Linksys wireless router has 5 Ethernet ports of which I use 4. Can I use a switch with the Velop to expand the number of ports
Answer:	Garmin devices tend to use customs cables so there is a good chance that it wouldn't work.

Answer:	Not unless your main router is a Google OnHub (they support the mesh network capabilities needed). From Kate (Manufacturer):Google Wifi is a "mesh" Wi-Fi system, they are not extenders for your existing router. The first Wifi point plugs into your modem with an Ethernet cord, and plugs in to power. Others plug in to regular power outlets in your home. They connect wirelessly to one another to create a single Wi-Fi network within your home. If you have Ethernet ports throughout your house, you can also hardwire each point. If you hardwire the units, you will still get a single Wi-Fi network throughout your house and the points will use Ethernet for connectivity between each other.

Answer:	Each Wifi point has two Gigabit Ethernet ports. There 1 WAN and 1 LAN on the primary Wifi point (which must connect to your modem) and 2 LAN ports on each additional Wifi point.

I have had this only one day, I am in a ranch style home on 1 acre, with 2 in each front corner of house and one in middle of the rear of the house and get reception on entire 1 acre though not the greatest connection on the edges but still fast and stable. also good connection in detached garage/pool house, might add one more for the detached garage/poolhouse to go from good connection to great connection

The setup is: ------------ In words: 1- Connect the Main Google Wifi WAN port directly to the modem, then connect the LAN port to a switch. 2- Connect each ethernet cable from outlets in the house to the switch. 3- BEFORE connecting the other Google Wifi(s) to the Ethernet, you MUST pair/activate/create the mesh with the Main Google Wifi. You MUST do this for each Google Wifi that will be connected to the network. 4- After pairing/activation/mesh creation, then you can take them to the location where you want to connect them to an ethernet port. I have this setup and it works flawlessly.

Question:	Can I use this as a time machine(backup) for more than one Mac
Answer:	I recently purchased this item from Office Depot. I was considering the Velop and the Netgear Orbi. Two factors that finalized my decision. I got a super price on this system and this system had 3 modules (which I thought would be better in my house. My internet enters through the bonus room above garage which is at one end. The bonus room is not connected with the remaining second story. I had to place one unit there with the modem. The second one is downstairs from that one (where my extender had been). The third was placed at bottom of stairs feeding the remaining 2nd level. I possibly could spread them further, but wanted to be sure at setup. I pay to have 100 mb service at modem and actually exceed this by 10-15 wirelessly throughout house. I no longer have dead spots (as I did even with my Netgear 1900 extender) and no longer lose connection with printers. Although, the Netgear Orbi may do the same, I am very pleased with my purchase. Only complaint that I had initially was that each module has only 2 Ethernet connections. When connecting the first unit with the modem, you only have one remaining. However, with the speed that I am getting wirelessly, it doesn't appear to be an issue. However, I would be more comfortable if at least one unit had 3or 4 Ethernet connections.
Question:	Does this come with a power cable
Answer:	If it has a USB port then it should .but it may only be setup for wireless..cause I've tried it before on a Chromebook and it had no wired internet card in it..it only had wireless..so if any PC has a wired internet card then it will work..but it's not for wireless..

Answer:	Yes the EX8000 used as a wifi extender you have the option of having a guest network. You can use same SSID name as your main router or use a different SSID altogether. I did have issues with more than one extender on the same network using same SSID name as main router so I had to change one of the extenders to a different SSID.
Question:	Has anyone connected a ps4 of xbox one to the wifi from the range extender? if so, signal and game play any good
Answer:	If you mean an AT&T router signal, yes. If you mean cell tower signal, then no.
Question:	Does it create a new sid or does it exteneded your current sid, so one does not have to switch to differing networks when in range
Answer:	the input voltage is from 100 to 240 volts
Question:	I don't understand how some people give this 4-5 stars and others can't get it to work and give it 1 star
Answer:	there are 4 ports. I use multiple ones as this is the only system I can find that does not change the network name but once a year I also have one break and have to replace it or hard reset it myself.
