Answer:	They are 6-8 inches long, but plug into the back of the stereo so it is possible to wire it up and plug into the stereo as it is installed
Question:	How long should it take to boot? i bought an rv with one of these. i like it, but it takes over 10 minutes to boot. is it defective
Answer:	I have 3 units in my 48 Express Cruiser. I shut down power completely to the unit when not aboard. When I board and turn on DC Power, the unit boots, connects to the iPad, and begins to play within seconds not minutes. I have had to reconnect devices when switching between source devices, but startup has always been 60 seconds or less.
Question:	Can the ms-srx400 be controlled via wifi without having an ms-ra770 onboard
Answer:	Yes, however the 770 is way better than the 400. I have one 700 and three 400 in my boat, however I'm removing two out the three 400 and keep only the 700+400.

Answer:	The back part that slots inside is single DIN, but the flush front is slightly larger. So it fits in a single DIN cutout from a previous sterio, but you need some free room around it for the front.

Question:	Can this device be mounted with a suction cup
Answer:	This antenna is substantial and I would not recommend mounting it with a suction cup unless it were sizable and only for short periods of time. I have mine mounted at mounted about 12 feet with four screws holding it in place. Would like to add I've had this product for about a year-and-a-half and it's been working perfectly. I have it mounted on my pole barn which is about 200 feet from my house.

Answer:	It should come up with its own wifi. Can't remember if it is Crane but that's what you connect to not your home and you can add a router to this if you continue to have issues. Also, go on to google on how to set this up. This is what i did

Answer:	The antenna can be mounted outside, however I have leaned it in the front windshield and had decent luck. Then you just plug everything in and go. You do have to have some kind of existing signal to amplify. Find it in your device settings and select.
Question:	Can you make the new wifi signal from the indoor repeater secured, so nobody else can connect to the new wifi signal
Answer:	It just amplifies an existing wifi signal. You have to log into the original wifi network as you did originally. You still have the same level of security you had with the original network. It just allows you to be farther from the source.

Answer:	No, it has to go thru some kind of a router.

Answer:	The Right Angle mount could remain plus the Ethernet cable but everything else would have to be removed which is the POE Base plus the antenna.

Answer:	25ft of cat5e is included. Cat5e is the minimum spec. There is no reason you can't choose better cable (ie: Cat6, Cat7) if you need to supply a new cable. If you need to go longer (like 50ft or 100ft) then Cat6 or better is recommended.
Question:	Are you able to hook this up to a router and create a network
Answer:	Yes, you can connect this to the WAN side of a standard home wireless router, and create your own network. You will need to go through your router to configure the Wave (and change access points), so it's good to have a little networking knowledge to get it and the router configured correctly.

Answer:	It works! We verified our products do work with captive portals just fine in our testing.
Question:	For the Swift and the Falcon, what is the respective range pick-up's of each
Answer:	Hello Crystal! With the testing we've done I'd say the Swift will give you usable internet speeds to about up to a quarter mile, the Falcon is closer to a half mile. Keep in mind these were using real world conditions that we tested in a real world application. There are a LOT of competitors that use "On paper" numbers that assume things like a perfectly clear line of sight in a vacuum of space, so some numbers out there are not factual for a real world application. Note that the numbers I am providing are in the real world, but were mostly unobstructed. Your range can differ based on things like amount of foliage, weather conditions, etc. I believe the Falcon is the only self pointing directional antenna on the market as of right now! Question:	Hi , I'd like to buy one of those with swift . Does it receive the 5ghz networks
Answer:	Hello Gabriel! The swift itself does not pick up 5ghz networks. The router can rebroadcast it as a 5ghz network. Generally when you are dealing with wanting range that is what the 2.4ghz network is better for, then once you are in an area that is short range and where you want to be able to communicate through walls better is when you switch it to the 5ghz. The reason we didn't make the antenna on the roof pick up 5ghz because the range is substantially less which is the main point of our product.
Question:	Can the wifimax be used with a high gain directional wifi antenna such as a 24db, 2.4ghz segmented dish antenna
Answer:	This is what engineering says,"The WiFiMax has an RP-SMA connector for a 2.4 GHz antenna. If used with other equipment, ensuring compliance with FCC or other applicable regulations is the responsibility of the user." So yes you can, but it is on the user to make sure you are FCC compliant if you use your own antenna. Do note that the Falcon we have for this is a high gain directional antenna that automatically points itself, so if you are looking for something you aren't having to set up every time that is an option as well. It's controlled via a phone app that we designed.

Answer:	ONE of my laptops (windows 10) has a "Mobile Hotspot" option which allows the sharing of wifi signals. I am typing this answer from the 2nd laptop (windows 7) connected through the 1st laptop that is connected to a WIFI signal (1/4 mile away) that is being picked up and boosted through the Bearextender.....I love this device !! 1 Bearextender = multiple computers can surf web. (I would imagine several computers at same time) BUT, at least one computer MUST have the sharing capability.

Answer:	I don't think there is a Mac model as of last winter. Only PC.

Answer:	Yes you can but it is it will only work with our antenna.
Question:	I have a workshop about 200 feet away from my home. Would this system be appropriate for picking up the wi-fi signal at the workshop
Answer:	Assuming your router signal is available outside (not blocked by metal siding, for example), the Vector WiFi should pick up the signal under normal conditions - meaning unblocked line-of-sight (no trees). Mounting the Vector antenna outside of the workshop - or at least in a window - would greatly improve reception.

Answer:	The booster operates independent of the router. once configured place antenna within range of your router, then place booster near antenna in convenient location that has power available. the way the booster works is by you logging onto the hawker extender when out of range of your stand alone router. expect less range extension with a omni directional antenna. Answer:	I don't know what an antenna port is? This is just a 15dBi High Gain antenna to replace a smaller/lower gain antenna. I use mine on an Alfa AWUS036NH 2W 802.11g/n High Gain USB Long-Range WiFi Network Adapter and it works great, I pick up (and connect to) wifi signals from over 1/2 a mile away now. Mine came with mounting hardware for both a pole mount, or a wall mount.I hope this helps..
