Answer:	The short answer is that 2.4 GHz will generally register as having better signal strength compared to 5GHz. Windows tends to prefer this, and most consumer routers won't signal the endpoint to switch to 5GHz. You can fix this by going to the advanced adapter properties, and seeing if you can set it to "Prefer 5GHz". Alternatively, the WiFi Mode setting can be set to a set that excludes 2.4GHz like 802.11 a/c/n/ac.

Answer:	I had the same problem. They provided a link to download the drivers, which I did. I installed them on my MacBook Pro and attempted to restart as prompted. My trusty Mac refused to restart even in "safe mode". Tried rebooting in recovery mode and again, would not boot up. I ended up reinstalling my entire drive from a back up drive. Total time wasted=5 hours and I sent this back for a refund. Don't bother wasting your money if you have a Mac, it will only cause you grief.

Answer:	Hey guys, I'm able to have it working on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS. I did follow the dkms solution posted by the other user; the script ran into an error, that's when I noticed the shell script requires a manual edit to edit out the version number for the driver's directory, once that's done the shell script ran just fine. Also, I had this adapter plugged into a USB 2.0 port, and the wifi would not accept the password; once I plug it into a USB 3.0 port (duh, lol) the wifi accepted the password and working just fine.

Question:	Does this have beam forming technology
Answer:	This device is compatible with anything that has a usb port to plug it into and an active wifi connection. It was produced in 2012 and has to be able to upload the driver to your device either through a cd ( provided) or a search engine. I'm no ps4 expert but if your game meets these requirements it should work but it's not really plug and play. It will need configuring once it is set up. I have all new equipment and still never made this work real well for me. I haven't spent much time on it though. Results are different for others depending on the device and the wifi connection. The price is right but just keep in mind that the technology is 8 years old and will require some patience to set it up

Though not apples-to-apples, I tried this on our Xbox One S for you (unplugging the LAN and trying to get the external wifi adapter to activate rather than built-in console wifi) and the One S did not recognize the adapter at all. You may be better off buying a wifi range extender than includes a LAN port so you can connect your wifi to the extender then run the ethernet cable from the extender to your xbox 360.

Did not work for me for Ubuntu 18.04 LTS possibly due to the documentation that comes with the driver stating the driver was only tested/confirmed working with Linux Kernel up to 4.8 and my Kernel is newer than that.

Answer:	I really don't know as of yet if this device does that or not. I run Linux (Debian 8.6, Linux Mint 18, 17.3, forget Ubuntu-I found too much spyware in that coupled with a wincrap laptop here somewhere) myself and just had not the time to mess with it on these features. It does work well on Linux under Ndiswrapper though I know I can do better with my own driver soon. Just had surgery on my eyes so give me a few weeks as they heal but you can contact me at Kstein_8551 at Yahoo.com. That is the public email address I use mostly. Another winmodem that does well with what you want is Netgear 6210 (1900-3.0usb) but you will have to download the chip source and make the driver for it. Not the netgear one. I just searched Duckduckgo for the chipset ID from lsusb command to get the chipset code. Answer:	You can format the drive using the router's interface. Though, it only offers FAT32 as a format option. I dont know if it would recognize the drive if it's already format with NTFS. Answer:	. I recently got this adapter... It works perfectly with Ubuntu & Mint, ( both Debian based ), as well as Fedora, ( which is Red Hat's desktop fork of Linux ). . One thing to note is you need to extract the driver and build/install it, ( using the make commands ), in order to use it. For people unfamiliar with how to do this, or who may be unsure that they are technically capable, the adapter has very good documentation on the folder on the included disc, ( you can also find the driver and documents on Cudy's website for those who would like to view it before purchasing ). I whole-heartedly recommend this adapter, even for people new to Linux. 🙂 So far I've used mine on a MacBook as well as a Dell Optiplex w/o issue.
