Be sure a box has vents. • Mount the remote sensor on the North side where to prevent sun from causing incorrect readings. • Mount at least 6 feet in the air for a strong RF (radio frequency) signal. • Do not mount the remote sensor on a metal fence. This significantly reduces the effective range. • Remote sensors are water resistant, not waterproof

Troubleshooting Tips!

Dashes for Outdoor temp

1) Hold HEAT/DEW button for 3 seconds to search for outdoor sensor. Reception icon will flash while searching/solid when received signal.

2) Weak battery power - check low battery indicator on station. You may change batteries in your sensor, then immediately hold HEAT/DEW to search for signal again!

Weak/Low Power

Low battery next to Indoor Temp = weather station back up batteries are weak/low

1. Continue using power cord, and remove old batteries.
2. Recommend using Brand Name, Standard Alkaline batteries (Exp Date should be 7 years ahead of current year)

Factory Restart: Remove Residual electrical current

My setup consists of 16 cameras running at 1080 and recording at 1080 so I only have three days of recordings before the drive start to recycle them.

Consider what is in the signal path between the clock and the transmitter. Consider the distance the clock is located away from other electronic in the home. Resistance: Obstacles such as walls, windows, stucco, concrete, and large metal objects can reduce the range. When considering the distance between the transmitter and the clock (200 feet open air) cut that distance in half for each wall, window, tree, bush or other obstruction in the signal path. Closer is better. Do not mount the transmitter on a metal fence. This significantly reduces the effective range. Interference: Consider items in the signal path between the transmitter and the clock. Sometime a simple relocation of the transmitter or the clock will correct the interference issue. Windows can reflect the radio signal. Metal will absorb the RF (radio frequency) signal. Stucco is held to the wall by a metal mesh. Question:	Is the signal range of the sensor unit attenuated through house walls or concrete walls
Answer:	My display froze on the startup screen and would not advance after two years. Tried rebooting and same problem. I chatted with support and learned there is no way to reset the display screen. Cheap electronics for a unit at this price. AcuRite knows this is a problem with several others complaining of the issue. Their only solution was for me to spend another $100 and buy a replacement unit. This is a known issue with the display freezing and not advancing beyond the splash screen.

Answer:	I just got this mouse. I work in university and public libraries on a daily basis. You ask a great question, F. Campillo. I can aswer with certainty that this mouse does click, and if you work in those environments, you will not want this mouse. I'm leaving mine at home and going back to the expensive but effective Apple Bluetooth white, buttonless mouse. The Amazon mouse is just loud enough to be a problem to others in a quiet room (especially those sitting next to you or across from you).

So the specs on the MacBook Air need to be checked carefully before buying - some have USB port, some don't. They are a pair, and yes they work with Apple with OS 10, but you need a USB port for the receiver. 1) Quick search: Hold SENSOR button for 3 seconds to locate sensor. Reception icon will flash while reconnecting.

2) Weak battery power - check low battery indicator on station. You may change batteries in your sensor, then immediately hold SENSOR button to search for signal again!

Factory Restart: Remove Residual electrical current

1) Hold ALERTS/LIGHT buttons for 5 seconds to reset station and begin search for outdoor sensor. Reception icon will flash while searching/solid when received signal. (**PLEASE NOTE: this will reset the entire station, so record any historical data you wish to remember. Please allow at least 10 minutes to acquire)

Out of the Box restart

• DISCONNECT power: Remove all batteries and AC power cord from display and sensor (bring within 5 ft of display station)
• Press any button on the display at least 20 times to clear memory (removes residual electricity)
• Leave both units without power for 15 minutes. Install new batteries into Sensor First. Plug in power adapter into display, and then add new batteries. When all data appears after 10 minutes, remount sensor outside and set up display settings.

Reinstall with Fresh, New Batteries

1. Insert fresh batteries into the outdoor sensor.
2. Insert the AC power cord into the wall outlet then into the weather station.
3. Wait 15 minutes for proper connection between sensor and display before remounting your sensor. (We recommend mounting sensor on Northside of home, protected from direct sunlight and precipitation, but well-ventilated)

Answer:	The one i got lasted about 3 months in the Colorado sun. I just went up today to replace it and it still shows no battery. I looked at the reviews and apparently when you replace the battery you have to pull the unit, put the new rechargeable battery in it and put it under a light for 24 hours to charge said new battery. The unit wont charge a fresh battery, only keep it going for a few months. If I have to get on the roof of my house every 3 months, this thing goes in the garbage. Not happy.

Question:	does it have barometric pressure
Answer:	No, there is no barometer. The wind reading is not instantaneous and it seems to be an average over a short period of time so gusts are not the right speed. If you use the app you will see that everything is averaged out over time periods which is to save storage and data transmission rates. All these deficiencies are acceptable for home use but not for a "true" weather station which are easily 10 times or more the cost.
Question:	Can it calculate wind chill
Answer:	I guess you could call it wind chill, there is a “feels like” number.
Question:	What kind of batteries do the sensors use? How long do they last in freezing temperatures
Answer:	Per the manual, Good fresh batteries are important for best performance in your sensors and as backup in your station. Batteries with an expiration date of 2020, were manufactured in 2010. We recommend batteries with an expiration date no more than 6 years in advance of the current year for best performance. A minimum voltage of 1.48 v per battery is required for best performance. Lithium batteries may be used in outdoor sensors. Alkaline batteries for the station. There is no listing of life of battery in cold or freezing temperatures. It would depend on the condition of the battery.
Question:	Do you have to hook this up to a "smart"phone thing/ap in order to get the correct wind speed or will it work on it's own? own
Answer:	No smart phone involved. The wind speed gizmo outside talks from the outside sensor to the base inside.

Answer:	This is a great wig for the price. I have a really small head 😃 21" round 😮 so I had to actually tie the straps from each side together so it would stay on, and stay in place. I could flip my head forward and back without it falling off. People think it's my real hair!!😁 I trimmed it up a lot

Answer:	I think that it is going to be too BIG. This is a woman’s wig. Besides it is very heavy. It is very beautiful and I was surprised at the quality of this wig. But it is too BIG for a girl.
