2 best tp link usb wifis
TP-Link manufactures a range of USB Wi-Fi adapters, also known as USB Wi-Fi dongles or network adapters. These devices are designed to add wireless connectivity to computers and laptops that do not have built-in Wi-Fi capabilities or to improve the wireless performance of existing devices. Here's what you should know about TP-Link USB Wi-Fi adapters:
Wireless Standards: TP-Link USB Wi-Fi adapters are available in various models, each supporting different wireless standards. Common standards include Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), and earlier versions like Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n). The choice of standard depends on the specific model and the level of wireless performance you need.
Speed and Performance: These adapters come in different speed categories, such as AC1300, AC600, etc., which indicate their maximum theoretical data transfer rates. Faster adapters are capable of handling higher bandwidth tasks like online gaming and 4K video streaming.
Dual-Band Support: Many TP-Link USB Wi-Fi adapters support both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. This dual-band capability allows for better performance and less interference, as 5GHz offers faster speeds and is less crowded than the 2.4GHz band.
Plug-and-Play: TP-Link USB Wi-Fi adapters are typically plug-and-play devices, meaning you can simply plug them into a USB port on your computer or laptop, and they should automatically install the necessary drivers. This makes them easy to set up.
Compact Design: These adapters usually have a compact and portable design, making them convenient for use with laptops and for on-the-go connectivity.
WPS Button: Some models may feature a WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) button for quick and secure connection to a wireless network.
Compatibility: TP-Link USB Wi-Fi adapters are often compatible with a wide range of operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Linux. Be sure to check the product specifications to confirm compatibility with your device.
Security Features: These adapters typically support WPA3 encryption and other security features to help protect your wireless connections from unauthorized access.
Beamforming Technology: Some TP-Link adapters may incorporate beamforming technology, which helps improve the stability and range of your wireless connection by focusing the signal in the direction of your router.
MIMO Technology: Multiple Input, Multiple Output (MIMO) technology is often included in TP-Link USB Wi-Fi adapters, allowing for better data throughput and performance in environments with multiple connected devices.
When selecting a TP-Link USB Wi-Fi adapter, consider your specific networking needs, such as speed requirements, range, and compatibility with your computer or laptop. TP-Link's official website and product documentation can provide detailed information about the specifications and features of their USB Wi-Fi adapters.

User questions & answers
Question: | Will this work with Windows |
Answer: | I don't know but i got rid of the orbis and went to amplifi hd. The orbis automatically update firmware and were nothing but headaches. The amplifi hds work perfectly. |
Question: | Is this a good option for the Raspberry Pi B+ model |
Answer: | Yes this will work on dsl, however don’t expect good speeds as you are limited by the bandwidth of dsl. As for a modem you will have to ask you isp for a compatible list. |
Question: | What is this for? Why would one need it if their laptop already does wifi |
Answer: | Both systems are fine for a small office. I have the orbi pro and I installed one for our local Moose Organization. They work great. However, the Orbi wifi 6 utilizes WIFI 6 Technology which is 4x faster. I also believe the Orbi Wifi 6 system has a longer range of coverage for 5000 feet of coverage. |
Question: | Does anyone know if this works with ubuntu |
Answer: | We use this for our church and it consists of 3 detached buildings. The main building we use streaming, etc. So far so good. The only problem with such distance is if multiple users sign on may freeze. |
