I wouldn't call it a modem, although they refer to it as such because that's what most people think is used to connect to the Internet but it is a decent enough router for most people's needs. We'll be upgrading to an ASUS router in the near future for more flexible configuration and better penetration in our home.

Firewall/DHCP/Port forwarding etc. I just put my wireless router in Firewall/DHCP OFF and made it a wireless access point. Plugged the DM200 into a LAN port of the wireless router and now all wireless clients have internet/LAN access. Great having a router/modem in one box under $100.I have Century Link. They are unfortunate souls....clueless. They couldnt make their ADSL2+ modem work. Come to find out they have VDSL and didnt know it. What a bunch of bozo's :) Once I had my PPPoE login and password the DM200 took it from there.Firewall test show the DM200 is totally stealth. DM200 is easy to configure and a great little Router/Modem combo.

Answer:	This is a pretty decent modem/router. However I did notice some lag when I pushed it hard via Wifi. Specifically having 2 Apple TVs streaming, along with internet use, would cause issues. I do not see this lag when I use my R7000 router, and set up the modem in bridge mode. Overall, I would say this is the best modem/router combo I have used, but not as good as a high performance router - especially if you have a lot of Wifi devices. If your TV streaming devices are on ethernet, then this performs well, but Wifi is not as good as a high end router.

Answer:	You can. Most people would use a old router like a hub just to get more than the 4 ports. Be sure the radio is off for the second router. If you do use the WIFI radios be sure to change the channels so that they are different between the two.

Comcast is a cable TV company that connects to homes via cable TV coax. To connect to the Internet via cable TV coax you would need a DOCSIS cable modem, not a DSL modem.

Answer:	Model MG7700 should provide coverage to a large house. Unfortunately, because of so many variables involved, there isn't a way to measure the range (or speed) experience a user will have. Factors, including positioning of the Gateway, building materials, obstruction or even your neighbors WiFi usage, play a role in what will both range and speed. That said, model MG7700 is equipped with a sophisticated built in Dual Band AC 1900 WiFi router. Answer:	Motorola has a pretty decent 2 year warranty, with good phone support even through this Novel Corona-virus causing many companies to lessen customer support. This is a solid modem that saves me $185 every year with Comcast. It's interesting as I had Comcast service 12 years ago and back then one could own their own modem to save you $15, but they would charge you the same $15 for the access card a month. I went back to Comcast as Frontier is at deaths door. These days Comcast doesn't charge for the access card as the FCC put the kibosh on cable companies being in the cable rental business. At the end of the day, this Motorola's paid for itself twice over and still counting.
