Answer:	You can. Most people would use a old router like a hub just to get more than the 4 ports. Be sure the radio is off for the second router. If you do use the WIFI radios be sure to change the channels so that they are different between the two.

It reaches to the main floor (also 1140 square feet) without any problem as well as outside on the front porch and back deck. The home is wood construction with steel siding. I don't have any problems with reception. Some reviews said this router has limited range and I'm not sure what was meant by limited range.

Answer:	Depending on how many walls or floors and the materials it has to pass through, I suspect the range to be able 100-150 feet. We have this router in an office building and the plaza next door to us (approx 250 feet) can see our signal. Downstairs and through a concrete floor, people who are only 20 feet away can get 1 bar of reception because the signal is trying to pass through cement. If you're using this with a wood floor, carpet or tile, you should still be getting decent signal.

Answer:	Newer YES, improved in design & footprint YES. Both are wireless N but C1100z is better signal & speed consistency from what I have experienced. Both are wireless N, not sure why this was not released with Wireless AC but it is a noticeable difference regardless.
Question:	does it work with time warner
Answer:	Yes, but don't add it as a router, you only want one of those and it should be running DHCP. Whatever you add as your second one, have it set up as a wireless AP. I have a C1100Z one side of my home and an ASUS RT-AC66U set up as an AP at the other side.
Question:	Do u have to have a carrier
Answer:	Dedicated AC adapter.
