Answer:	Not sure about the answer to your question. The MG7700 is very popular at the moment and all you can do is keep monitoring availability.

Answer:	Model MG7700 should provide coverage to a large house. Unfortunately, because of so many variables involved, there isn't a way to measure the range (or speed) experience a user will have. Factors, including positioning of the Gateway, building materials, obstruction or even your neighbors WiFi usage, play a role in what will both range and speed. That said, model MG7700 is equipped with a sophisticated built in Dual Band AC 1900 WiFi router. Answer:	Motorola has a pretty decent 2 year warranty, with good phone support even through this Novel Corona-virus causing many companies to lessen customer support. This is a solid modem that saves me $185 every year with Comcast. It's interesting as I had Comcast service 12 years ago and back then one could own their own modem to save you $15, but they would charge you the same $15 for the access card a month. I went back to Comcast as Frontier is at deaths door. These days Comcast doesn't charge for the access card as the FCC put the kibosh on cable companies being in the cable rental business. At the end of the day, this Motorola's paid for itself twice over and still counting.

Answer:	Has WPA key on bottom tag. Has WPA/WPA2 wireless security. Also has Parental Control and Guest Network features.

Answer:	for me, i just had to connect it to my cable like it was connected. Xfinity website loads and it will automatically read the info off the modem, register it, and even update the firmware for comcast. its done automatically, takes about 10 minutes, and i did NOT have to call them!

Answer:	It is not on their approved list yet as of 3/8/2015. I can confirm in the Albany, NY area I have this modem working on Time Warner Cable. I had to talk to a modem specialist to get it working so it was not as easy as an approved device. Read my review for my review for more information.
Question:	Can the firmware be updated by the user or only by the isp
Answer:	Netgear confirms that only your ISP can update the firmware. This is unfortunate, as the current firmware (at least for Time Warner Cable) relies on outdated code that prevents the Netgear CM500 from obtaining the accurate System Time. This can lead to more dropped connections and difficulty when accessing secure sites. Despite replacing the CM500 with a supposedly updated unit, this error persists. The CM500 consistently reports the System Time as at least 5 hours out of sync.

Answer:	Not a stupid question as visitors with EMF sensitivity need the wifi turned off and unplugging is not convenient.
Question:	Will it broadcast in both 2.4 and 5 at the same time
Answer:	Model MG7550 will broadast in both at the same time.
Question:	What is the difference between the mg7540 and mg
Answer:	The MG7540 has AnyBeam beamforming for only the 5 GHz that will focus the signal on wireless clients to allow better performance and range The MG7550 has AnyBeam beamforming for both the 2 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies which focuses the signal on wireless clients to further enhance performance and range. The MG7550 also has the capability of wireless Power Boost which adds high-performance Wi-Fi power amplifiers to boost the wireless signals to the legal limit, giving a significant boost in speed and range.
Question:	How difficult is the configuration process
Answer:	There wasn't much to the setup. I took the modem/router out of the box and connected it to the cable/internet wall plug. With Comcast I was able to do the setup over the internet (using my phone). It only took a few minutes over the internet versus calling Comcast.

Question:	does it work with verizon fios only
Answer:	Fios does not use modems. The device they give you is a gateway router to convert their fiber optic cables to coax. If you are trying to improve your wifi then all you need is a wifi router. You can deactivate fios wifi within their router or keep it on and have 2 wifi routers running.
Question:	This is new to me. i have to 2 slow internet connection (adsl line and cable), could i have an internet connection with the speed of the sum of them
Answer:	Short answer: yes, but hard and not with the result that you expect. If you can barely watch a movie without Loading indicator, the with 2 lines you could watch 1 OR 2 movies at the same time with same barely acceptable experience, while getting 1 faster connection allows you to either watch 1 movie in better quality, or 2 with the previous experience.
Question:	Will this work with Atlantic Broadband
Answer:	Yes. Netgear C7000 is one of the compatible ones. I have Atlantic Broadband too.
