Answer:	Right-click the windows start (menu) icon at the lower left corner of your desktop screen. Choose "device manager". Find and click on the device (fingerprint scanner) on the list. Choose search for device driver automatically. When the windows update screen opens, click on "search for updates". Find and click on "optional updates". Find and click on the device driver for the fingerprint scanner (may be the last one on the list). Please note that I am reciting this from memory and may have left out or misnamed a step or two. I did this successfully on two computers running WIN 10 HOME and one running WIN 10 PRO. The one running PRO downloaded and installed the driver automatically. GOOD LUCK.

Answer:	Since it plugs into a USB port on your PC and all info is stored on the PC, I do not feel it’s an issue. To me it is just like if you bought a PC with this feature already on it. So if you fear the “dark web” bandits, secure your PC and this device should be secure as well and unplug it and put in a secure place until you are ready to use your PC if you are that worried. Once you log on you can also remove it and secure it.

Answer:	this is a usb device unless your monitor also acts as a usb hub it will not work. i have a usb hub clamped to my monitor that i plug it in to. some monitors have a usb hub built in. they would work.

Answer:	I have not tried it but I think it will. I love it for my computer because I don't have to remember passwords anymore. I used a short 18" usb extension cord so the fingerprint reader reaches the top of the desk. Depending on where your computer is mounted, you might need a longer one or maybe none for a laptop.

Answer:	If you have a modern Mac, it will not work. They stopped developing updates for it after OSX 10.8. If you are running a newer version of OSX or MacOS, it will not work.

Answer:	I've never used last pass. I cannot answer that question. It works with Windows Hello and there was nothing in the instructions documentation regarding it being compatible with Windows Hello nor Last pass so deductive reasoning says its quite possible, but again I cannot provide a definitive answer.

Answer:	I just tried it on my HP Spectre and NO. It's OFF In sleep mode, no power is getting to the fingerprint reader. I left the screen up and tried the reader and it didn't work. I closed the screen by lowering it, and open it up, turning ON the laptop, giving power to the reader.

Answer:	What operating system are you using?It is designed for Windows 10 and you don't need any drivers for it since it will be detected and installed automatically. You won't notice a difference once it installs because it doesn't add any software. For you to start using it, you need to go to account settings in Windows (Password and PIN must be already set or you will have to set them first) and then you will see a new option, Windows Hello, in which you can add your fingerprints and start using them to log on instead of your pin or password. For more information google how to configure Windows Hello.Now, if you are using an OS other than Windows 10 I'm afraid you're out of luck. I don't think the manufacturer ever developed any drivers for something different than Windows 10 with Hello.Bonus TIP: If after saving your fingerprint you have issues getting the sensor to recognize it, try saving it again without deleting the old one. Save it as a new finger (actually using the same one you used before) and it will greatly improve the recognition.
