Answer:	I love my Bogs! Nothing really works on ice except some form of Yaktrax with metal grippers . They slip on and off and shoe or boot. I work at a barn and when it is icy, sure, I can "shuffle" along on my Bogs, but in order to truly be able to "walk" you need buy some Trax!the sole is neither hard or soft.
