Answer:	Yes, it does! If you look at the picture of the bottom you will see that the black plastic "foot" opposite the wheels (on the same end) doubles as a handle! I am loving this bag!
Question:	Can the wheels be replaced? My current bag is in great condition, but the wheels have fallen apart due to rough parking surface
Answer:	it should handle the ware. We bought 4 bags and have used them several times. They have been sturdy enough so far (we've moved 4 times with them). So far, they have no rips. We have only used them 4 major times. Each bag is still in good condition. One of our moves, one bag traveled empty in the back of a uhaul.

Answer:	I purchased this bag and took it to Europe. It depends on how you pack it. If you pay attention, pack heavy items on the bottom and balance it well, it will stand.  but realize that if you have stuff packed in it, it will fall to the bottom which will then put the weight at the bottom. Answer:	I believe that it is certainlt sturdy enough to carry severals books. I bought this case for my husband and we liked it but my husband returned it only because he wanted a case with a smaller profile.

Answer:	No it will not. I have a 17" and a 15" laptop and it will only fit the 15" laptop. Having said that, it is still a great briefcase. I see some other people have responded that it will fit a 17" laptop. Not sure if they have the same briefcase, but it will not fit my 17" (HP Envoy).
