Answer:	No, this cannot hold a child. Max is 25 lbs, and even half that is too Mich if it's bouncing around a lot, such as when mounted to a full suspension bike.

Answer:	About 3/4ths of an inch. Special note: if you buy panniers for this rack make sure that the hooks on the panniers are adjustable. Ortlieb brand panniers tend to be adjustable.

Answer:	I added the side frame protectors to it, and then panniers. In each pannier, about 15-20#'s of gear, plus another 20#'s on the rack. I haven't had any problems at about 60#'s weighted down. Of course they must say that it only holds 25# for liability concerns though. If you carry a lot of weight often, you will want to add some air to your shock to make up for the extra weight.

This back got two main compartments which are designed to fit one 15'' laptop, and two 10'' iPads in the first one, The 2nd (which is my favorite) I can fit up to 4 500 pages books stacked two on top of two. Question:	Would the crush proof "safe zone" fit a pair of Beats on ear headphones in the soft case
Answer:	I keep my Jambox in my crush proof safe zone. The dimensions on that are 6" x 2.3" x 1.6" - I keep the jambox in the tight fitting case it comes with and it does not seem to have any wiggle room in the crush proof zone. There is a little room around the sides and top , enough to close it, but not much. If the headphones are not collapsible, then they will most likely not fit. If they are collapsible, see if they break down in to the dimensions I mentioned. If it does or is close to that it might fit.

Answer:	The laptop pocket does not reach all the way to the bottom. There is a clearance of about 2.5cm the bottom and the sleeve. Trust this has addressed your concern.
