Some purchasers may have received the sleeve without the guided instructions. The laptop will only fit inside the sleeve in one direction, placing the laptop rear fan side first does not work. The laptop must be placed with the front part or portion nearest the touchpad first, therefore when holding this sleeve up by the carrying handles, the orientation of the laptop would be point down. The Alienware logo on the laptop should be on top to match the Alienware logo button on the sleeve. It's almost an indicator as to which side is the top of the laptop and sleeve.
