Answer:	It is as fast as your motherboard with support. The cable adpater just passes the pins from the drive to access inside the case.

Answer:	I don't remember a hdd indicator wire when I installed this. The only connector for that wire is to my main hard drive. If you are using this as your main drive, your motherboard should have a connector for it. It is with the power switch jumper (and others).

Answer:	Be careful everyone! I have the 2-bay model, and I foolishly forgot to use the "Safely remove hardware" procedure and simply turned the power off to the dock. Dumb, I know. But here's what can happen. In my case, BOTH drives were corrupted by this. I assume it is just a corruption of the "index", whatever the actual term is, and that any simple data recovery software will allow me to retrieve the data. But, it's going to be a hassle. So never power this dock off, without first going through the normal routine.

Answer:	The SATDOCK4U 4-bay docking station will support Seagate archive 8TB except that the power supply is limited to 6.5 amp and the ST8000AS0002 requires 2 amps to spin up. So with the factory power supply I found I could run only 3 of the 8TB drives at one time. However I was able to find a larger 12 volt supply and then got four 8TB drives to work. See my review.

Answer:	As far as I'm aware, you'll still need external cloning software for this. All this provides is an interface so that a computer can recognize the hard drives as external drives. There's some decent free software available, a quick google search for hard drive cloning software should bring up some options.

Answer:	Of course it works in the us. First most of these players come via Canada because originally the dvd makers and sellers only allowed Region 1 players in the US. I found out about this stuff back when all we had were VHS tapes. I found a nice place in NYC that sold me a wonderful and expensive tape player for my European vcr tapes. Then DVDs came along and I had to switch to Canada for my multi-region players. By now about 1/4 of my dvds are European and all play on these multi or all region DVD players. Nicest thing is that they are petite and weigh very little compared to those ten plus years ago.

Answer:	I do believe you can. I'm a Mac user so I use Carbon Copy Cloner to clone my drives and it worked with that. I do use PCs as well, and there are several cloning programs that can do the same thing, I just can't remember them as I'm here at work. I did use one of them to clone my desktop drive to an SSD drive and it worked perfectly.
Question:	While listed as only for a 2.5 HDD, has anyone tested this on a Desktop 3.5 HDD
Answer:	This will not work on a 3.5 drive. The USB power supply is 5V. The 2.5 drives only use a 5V power rail, which is why this works on them. 3.5 drives have a 12V power rail, along with the 5V power rail. To run a 3.5 drive, you need an external 12V power supply. There are interfaces that come with it.
