Answer:	A USB 3.0 cable is included with the drive, and that can be connected to a USB 2.0 port on the computer, but that will of course greatly reduce performance if you choose to do so.

Answer:	USB-C and Thunderbolt 3 share the same physical connection type (USB-C). USB-C devices can be connected to Thunderbolt 3 ports, as TB3 supports USB-C devices. However, TB3 drives cannot be connected to USB-C ports on computer. So, this USB-C drive will connect to USB-C ports, Thunderbolt 3 ports, or using included cable, USB 3.0/2.0 ports.
Question:	Can I take the hard drive out and use it as a regular desktop hard drive
Answer:	I’ve done this with about 30+ 2tb, 4tb, and 8tb drives over the years- converting an external to an internal- and they are all still running fine to this day. Usually $30-40 cheaper than the internal and you get a free usb cable to boot. Just make sure you don’t hurt your hands while doing it. Twisting a flathead screw driver in the seams seemed like the way to go if I recall. They don’t make the cases easy to open. For someone below: Don’t use these for RAID. NAS rated drives are different because they handle higher heat, able to run 24/7 with cross checks, etc. read more about what makes the iron version a NAS approved drive compared to the standard barracuda.

Answer:	Just reformatted the external hard drive using Disk Utility. Answer:	Like a charm, exactly what I purchased it for. Plug into any of the three ports (all 3 of the original XBox One ports are 3.0) and give it a minute. The XBox will recognize it and you have to choose for storage or media. Choose storage for games and you are up and running. Do be aware that this HDD does require its own power supply. I was transferring games within 5 minutes. FWIW within half an hour there was a power outage in the middle of a transfer and the external drive, the XBox One and the data are were ok when power came back on. If a data transfer is interrupted for any reason simply delete the failed portion on the destination drive and start the process over.

I need clamps to hold something down with a thickness of 1.25 inch thickness. The maximum thickness (using pieces of scrap wood of various thicknesses) I could get this clamp to close on properly was 0.5 inch. I'm not saying that's the exact maximum, but it's close. Go thicker, like 0.75 inch, and the handle will bend if you try to clamp it down and it will not close. Yes, I had screwed it with four (the maximum) number of screws down on a piece of thick 2x8. So, for my purposes, this is useless and I will return it. I hope that helps.

Answer:	I believe they do comply with UMS. Although I don't know this for a fact. I put mp3 audio files on mine and play them in my car as well as on other devices that support USB devices. I've never had a problem. I even put groups of files in separate sub-directories - based on album name or artist. All my devices read the USB drives correctly - including all directory content. Answer:	RAID 5 uses the capacity of one drive as redundancy. As there are six 2TB drives inside, you would lose 2TB so 10TB remaining (formats to 9+TB).

Free of chemicals means it's been left in its natural state - it hasn't been bleached to whiten it and no other chemicals were used to stabilize it, coat it, etc. Pure, natural, and organic are three different designations

Answer:	It is a 3 bit and a very nice addition. . I use it for my Acronis backup. It is fast and haven't had any issues with it. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an external drive.

You might need to Google how to use an external drive, but the read/write speeds on this are exceptional (1GB/s), and the USB-C to USB-C cable it comes with is top-notch (as is the USB-C to USB-A cable). Obviously, you're going to want to be vary careful not to move the cables when in-use.
Question:	Can i install nextcloud and not use google, dropbox etc. at all
Answer:	Yes, you should be able to use this as an external drive for the PS5 and get full speed on it as long as you plug it into one of the USB 3.2 ports. However, you will still not be able to play PS5 games off of it. You can play PS4 games off of it with improved load times. Per Daniel Bastian's answer regarding the Xbox Series X. You can use the T7 on Series X, but you will not get the full speed. Series X uses USB 3.1 gen 1 ports, which are slower than this SSD. For Series X, you would be better off buying the T5 SSD.

Answer:	This unit has USB and Thunderbolt. There are adapters available to use the older USB devices with USB C.

Answer:	You may need a specific Thunderbolt driver for Ubuntu to access this drive. I would go the Ubuntu website to see if this exists. Normally, I access Ubuntu from a virtual machine so I avoid this kind of problem.

Answer:	It comes with a short Thunderbolt cable and a USB cable, you don't need to buy any.
Question:	Will it work with an iPad mini
Answer:	The drive itself is only 5,400 RPM. However, if your only option is Thunderbolt or USB 2.0 (2011 iMac for instance) then this drive will still offer higher performance over a 7,200 RPM external USB 2.0 hard drive. USB 2.0 is limited to about 60MB/s (480Mbit/s), and this drive achieves around 105MB/s - 109MB/s according to http://reviews.cnet.com/external-hard-drives/buffalo-ministation-thunderbolt-1tb/4505-3190_7-35338125.html. Having said that, I have two of these. I have one on a 2013 iMac (i7 & 16GB Ram) and another on a 2011 iMac (i7 & 16GB Ram). I use them as external drives for my Windows 8 virtual machines. They are very speedy, and I haven't had any performance issues as of yet. You're correct however, you will never see 10,000GBit/s as they imply.
