Answer:	I had the same issue and tried two of these mics. The second one worked better but after a few minutes it would start cutting out and I would get the re-connection pop in the audio. The seller was very easy to work with and I ended up returning both mics. Then I gave in and just bought a "Rode Condenser Shotgun Video Mic with Rycote and Rode DeadCat Wind Sheild."It's a $300 mic that I caught on sale at $188, and I'm very glad I got it. The size can be a little awkward depending on what you are using the mic for, but It's been perfect for me and is 100% compatible with the Hero 4 Black. There are plenty of smaller mics out there, but I'm not sure how good they really are. I started my research on youtube and watched what other people were using. Good luck in your mic hunt.
