Question:	Has anyone had problm with the Chromebit not waking from sleep? Sometimes I have to unplug power, then plug back in
Answer:	I have the same problem. I've read all the suggestions on the forums, blogs and reviews, and tried them. Just switching to the hdmi port my chromebit is on does not wake it up. Nor does hitting any key on the keyboard or the mouse, including ctrl-alt-del. When this happens, the only option left is unplug/replug which always works. A real pain, though. Then maybe 20-30% of the time hitting a key WILL bring it out of hibernation, and I think I'm onto something. But the next time I'm not, and it's back to nothing working and unplug/replug. I've decided that the chromebit is a nice idea, but faulty execution. I'm looking to upgrade to a 4gb chromebox, which would solve my periodic crash problems too. It happens at least once a week with the chromebit, presumably when I've topped out the RAM. And I only have 2 tabs open: gmail and a gdoc. Too many bumps in the chromebit road for me to be happy with it.

The idea seems to be to attach your chromebit to your HDTV through an HDMI connection (with or without the extender) and then to secure the Chromebit with a pair of the adhesive velcro circles.Yes, you can move the chromebit to any HDMI input device, but it usually requires also a Wireless (LAN) connection (with a route(r) to a WAN/Internet connection for general browsing) to take advantage of all of its features. This is essentially a chromebook in a 6 inch stick. Answer:	You just have to install and configure hangouts, if it didn't already come installed. Look for the little magnifying glass in the lower left corner, click on it and type 'hangouts'. Once configured, as long as the chromebit is turned on and the display its configured with is also on, you can make and receive calls and texts through hangouts. I've used plain old (like 4-5 year old) logitech webcams with it, which work perfectly for video and as a microphone. The chromebit doesn't have a microphone. There is a 3.5MM audio jack to plug a regular microphone into. If you use a USB microphone or webcam, you'll have to use a bluetooth keyboard/mouse with it or use a usb hub to hook everything up as the chromebit has only one USB port.

Answer:	While I have a Logitech Bluetooth keyboard w/touchpad, I used a Logitech wireless keyboard & mouse combination (the Chromebit was plugged into an HDMI port on the side of a wall mounted TV near the desk w/the keyboard & mouse.) The plan was to get Chrome Remote Desktop working but I gave up on that due to another reason. The CS10 has 3 connections —1) the supplied AC adapter, 2) an HDMI plug to connect to a TV/monitor & 3) a USB port. As I do not currently need the USB port except for a place to plug-in the keyboard/mouse dongle, prefer the tactile feedback from the wireless keyboard & prefer a mouse to a trackpad it seemed the way to go.

Answer:	I am using a 126GB tiny USB stick. It does extend, so maybe an SD card is easier. After sleep, the USB drive doesn't come back by itself, I have to re-insert it. Is that the case for SD cards, too?

Answer:	Chromebooks have guaranteed update support for 6.5 years from the first launch for a new hardware platform (which could mean less time for a particular Chromebook, if it is launched later than the first Chromebook to use that hardware). It's also based on the date the platform was first released, so - if you buy an older Chromebook that has been on the market for 6 years, let's say, you'll only have 6 months of support left. The auto update policy for Chrome OS can be found here: https://support.google.com/chrome/a/answer/6220366?hl=en. This can be really frustrating because the hardware isn't necessarily obsolete. For example, I own both an original Chromebook Pixel and the first Samsung Chromebox. They both have Pentium Core processors and plenty of RAM and SSD, but both have been dropped from updates. Contrary to what others have said in answer to this question, none of my now obsolete devices have continued to receive updates and you can't force an update because there are no new images for those particular boards. Since some of the missed updates have been pretty important - like the Meltdown and Spectre patches - I no longer use those devices. I guess you can think of it this way: You're leasing a Chromebook for 6.5 years and then it will be a paperweight. The upside is that you can install a linux distribution on some of the newer Chrome OS devices and keep them up to date that way, but they will no longer be a Chromebook at that point.

Answer:	I haven't been a kid for a long time, and yes I love it. Using it for all travel, in the gym, etc. because it's rugged and water resistant. If you plan to have it sit on a desk mostly, you may not need the ruggedness and invest in a more powerful box. And at this price point, you don't get the most powerful chromebook. The only limitation I found is the internal storage, but a small 128GB USB stick solves that cheaper than getting a chromebook with large internal memory.

Answer:	I see a lot of California-bashing on this response, but you really should direct your ire to the legal profession. This law unwisely left the enforcement of the notification to civil court by the State AG OR (and that's a BIG "OR") the citizenry, which translates to ambulance chaser-type lawyers. You don't even have to show harm - just a failure to notify. This has the result of extortion-type lawsuits throughout every industry, that even people who support Prop 65 hate, because it makes the notifications meaningless (like you say, everything in CA causes cancer). You can't be faulted for over-reporting, so most things sold in CA have the notification, if only to prevent the chance of some attorney bringing a lawsuit on you and you having to pay to defend yourself. The intentions were right, but a very stupid law was written to implement it. It has reduced the number of carcinogens in products. Whether it helps is anyone's guess.

Answer:	Yes, it can determine the quality of the device plugged into it. I regularly use it for my PlayStation TV which is natively 480i/p and has some games at 720p. The monitor will switch resolutions automatically once it determines the device plugged into it. I like this monitor a lot because it has a built in sound card and speakers so it's perfect for using as a second tv or gaming monitor for consoles.

Answer:	It will work, as long as you use the HDMI cable but you may not get as good of response time, or refresh rate, since the consoles don't normally go above 60fps. If you want to purchase it strictly for that, and you already have an HDTV that can do 60fps, or a little higher, it is better to not spend that kind of money, unless you plan to use it as a gaming monitor for a gaming computer in the future. However, many people have used this monitor, strictly for console gaming, and actually like it a lot better than their television. It really is up to you, depending on what your goal would be.
