If you would like to have more than 24 GB RAM, than you need to remove pre-installed and 8 GB RAM and plug 16 GB RAM to both slots, than your laptop will have 32 GB RAM. For your SSD question: There are 3 ways to add SSD to this laptop: 1) There is one empty M.2 SATA 3 SSD slot. You can buy and plug a M.2 SATA 3 compatible SSD.
