Answer:	The previous six I bought didn't have a power port. The last two I bought late in 12/2020 (delivered 1/2/2021) does have the power port and is a darker gray. These are either an earlier model that were dredged up from somewhere or Cable Matters has returned to including the power port (although no power cable was included). Whatever the reason for the power port being on the last two I bought, they still work fine and support TRIM.

Answer:	The drive in the enclosure will only spin when data is being accessed. So turning the computer off definitely stops the enclosure drive from spinning. The enclosure also has a on/off power button.
Question:	is there a heating problem or how is the heat dissipated
Answer:	I had a heat problem, used it for 5 months. The drive had no files on it so shouldn't have run hot. I took the drive out, let it cool off, put it back in and there was no power to the enclosure. I put in two other working drives, still no power to it. I put the drive in another enclosure and it was not hot, copied 350GB of files to it and it is still not hot. Apparently the enclosure malfunctioned.

Question:	has anyone tried putting a 2.5" 1 TB HDD in this thing? Do I have to use an 3.5" adapter or can I just plug in the 2.5" HDD
Answer:	Note: A Normal adapter/brace will not work that you would used for mounting a 2.5 in a PC case. The connections for the power and data transfer are fixed solid to the board in the back of the case. A normal adapter will leave the 2.5 drive well short of the connections and you will need to run cabled for the power and data, very very short cables. Additionally, the metal plate that functions to hold the drives in place will not fit snugly with the 2.5 drive adapter meaning it will float around in there just a little to make some noise. Due to these reasons I would suggest only using it for 3.5 drives as they fit perfectly in the drive bays.
Question:	If I install 4 x 4TB drives on this unit and connect it to my computer, I see 4 new USB hdds in my PC or just one big drive
Answer:	You will see 4 separate drives, but if you want, you can use the RAID option that is built into windows 10 (assuming you have windows 10) and you can merge disks together, I have four 4TB drives in mine, two of them run on RAID 1 where I keep important files, and the other two drives are set up as single drives and that's where I got all my games installed and stuff I wouldn't mind losing, all the drives work great so far in any configuration I try.
Question:	Is there any way to make these units turn on after a power fail w/o pressing the button? I tried the 3 sync modes and regardless of what the attached server does it seems I have to manually press the power on button to get these to start responding after a power failure (USB
Answer:	A comment to Abi and Phillip on chaining UPS units: I think the issue is total current draw, and usually if someone is adding another UPS, they plan to draw that much more current through the system, and that would indeed be bad. In general, it is good advice not to chain UPS or surge power strips, given how people normally just keeping plugging things in until all outlets are occupied. But... if Abi is disciplined and only plugs the one thing into that chained UPS that otherwise would occupy a plug on the first UPS, I'm not seeing the problem. Maybe Abi should tape over or toddler-plug the remaining outlets on the chained UPS as a reminder to avoid dangerous current draw situations? The total load on the first UPS then is almost unchanged (modulo the power overhead of the chained UPS itself), and if there is some reserve capacity on the first UPS, that shouldn't be a problem. Is there some other consideration I am missing here?

Answer:	I bought this package. You can buy the "DJI Care Refresh" warranty separately on the DJI website under "products". It is good for a year. It cost $99. In that 1 year time period they will replace the drone up to two times for an additional fee each incident. The first time they will replace it if you break it, water damage, etc for $79 . The second time it will cost you $129. Again, it only covers for a year. You have to pair the drone to the warranty when it is brand new or within 48 hours of activation. It does NOT cover a lost drone. I bought it. I am new to flying so I figure if I break it twice in a year, it will cost me $310 total to have it replaced twice. Its a crap shoot! You can also send it in for repairs if you don't have a warranty but I don't know what that will cost you. There are a few blogs out there that talk about the cost of repair if you google "Mavic Pro Repairs".

Answer:	I will tell you the purpose fir my purchase of this enclosure. I had purchased a Samsung 850 PRO 256 GB SSD. With this purchase came software that I installed on the HHD (still installed in my computer). I then installed the SSD into the enclosure and and connected the USB cable between the computer and the enclosure. It was then that I executed the software and did a complete clone of the SSD. I then swapped the SSD with the HHD and was back up and running. In the end. the HHD became an external HHD. From the research I have done, I learned that an SSD does have a finite life. Meaning you can write and re-write just so many times and the SSD will start to wear out. To keep this from happening sooner, anything one wants to save should be saved to the external hard drive, thus prolonging the life of the SSD. Before I learned about the availability of the Samsung 850 PRO SSD, I purchased a Toshiba 256 SSD. I installed that SSD into my desktop and had to build the software from scratch, OS and all the other software which took me a couple of days to complete. I know the Samsung SSD I have told you about here cost more than most SSD's. But I think that the extra cost is worth every penny extra that you will spend on the Samsung. The entire process from the physical setup until I was back up and running with the SSD took me about 1 hour. I know I gave you more information than you were asking about and hope this is of some help to you.

Answer:	The enclosure is just a housing for a hard drive, it facilitates a USB connection between a bare hard drive and your computer. If you want (or don't want) the drive to go to sleep, you would need to adjust the power settings for your computer. In Windows 10 these options can be found in Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options > Change Power-Saving Settings then click on "Change Plan Settings" and go through the advanced options to find the hard drive power options.

Answer:	Yes it will fit. every case has standoffs for different Motherboard types.
Question:	Can two 2080 graphics cards fit
Answer:	It really depends on which model you get as all the aftermarket coolers and such will have different dimensions but I would say, at least in regards to the founder's edition, yes. I have a Sapphire Nitro+ Vega 64 and it is a pretty beefy card, much larger than the 2080 FE and I could barely squeeze in a second one if I wanted to.

Answer:	The one I recently purchased has a VL711-04 chipset from VIA Labs.
Question:	Would this work with new ryzen 3000 cpus and x570 boards
Answer:	If the drive wasn't encrypted then it should work. If you don't see the drive, try going into disk manager and assigning a drive letter. If the drive was encrypted with Windows Bitlocker, then you'll need the recovery key (looks like a long string of random letters and numbers). See https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4026181/windows-10-find-my-bitlocker-recovery-key for advice on finding this. If the drive was encrypted with TrueCrypt or VeraCrypt, you'll need the encryption password. If it was encrypted and you don't have the recovery key/password, then you might as well format the drive. After all, this is the exact use case those products were made to thwart!
Question:	do i have to use this as a raid device or can i use it as 4 independant hard drives
Answer:	This product does not have a 4-pin Molex connector for IDE drives. It has a 15-pin SATA power connection + 7-pin SATA data connection. I think the fourth product photo gives a good view of the connectors.

Does the mounting screws and cable come wiht this

Answer:

Your motherboard BIOS must support bifurcation of PCIe lanes. This is often named differently from brand to brand. The manual of Asus X399 ROG Zenith Extreme shows that 2 of the PCIe x16 slots can support bifurcation to 4x/4x/4x/4x. It seems that the feature is called [PCIe RAID mode] under "PCIEX16_1 Bandwith" option or "PCIEX16_3 Bandwith". So you must connect the Asus Hyper M.2 board in one of these two slots. I own a z370 motherboard, and my intel processor only supports x16 PCIe bifurcation to x8/x4/x4. So, in my case, I can only use 3 M.2 SSDs with this board.
