Answer:	I believe the previous response is incorrect. This is a budget laptop, and according to the specs, it only has USB A (1 x 3.0 and 1 x 2.0) and NO USB C.

Answer:	Yep, Chrome books use a Linux Back-end so anything that runs on Linux should work on Chrome books, I've used external CD drives for DVDs on my Chrome book.
