TeraStation 6000 Series with Hard Drives Included
TeraStation 6000 is a high performing Network Attached Storage solution with NAS-grade hard drives included; ideal for securing data against cyber threats, large business files, graphics, video (Auto CAD, etc.), cloud integration, and iSCSI virtualization target. (VMware Certified).
Users can easily share and safeguard data with reliability and RAID data protection. For professionals looking to speed up their transfer rates, this device comes with a native 10GbE port and brings you faster ever experience.
Ransomware Solution with Snapshot
In recent years, the rise of ransomware has become a significant data security threat to both home users and businesses alike. Ransomware is a type of malware that attacks your device to gain access to its files or systems, and then prevents you from accessing the files or systems by encrypting them, essentially holding them hostage until you pay the ransom for a decryption key to regain access. When used as a backup in a proactive strategy, this device works well to protect your data.
More about Snapshot:
This device specifically features Snapshot technology which can help fill the gap to protect you from ransomware without disrupting business continuity.
When a management plug-in “Snapshot Agent for TeraStation” is installed in vCenter Server (for Windows Server) in the VMware vSphere environment, the corresponding VM is automatically stopped according to the backup time set by you and the VM is automatically restored after Snapshot shooting.
iSCSI Expansion Solution
For many years, organizations have been utilizing expensive Storage Area Network (SAN) as the on-premise data storage solution to help escape the trap of constantly buying disks and drives into a patchwork for servers.
For organizations with existing physical server infrastructures, integration with a Buffalo iSCSI-SAN is simple, cost-effective and efficient way to provide expansive storage with robust data security features to protect your data. This family is VMware Certified for iSCSI.
Secure Data Storage
- Closed System helps prevent 3rd-party cyber attacks
- AES 256-bit drive encryption for storage and transfers
- Boot authentication prevents booting up of a stolen device
- Secure Setup allows for local network access only, internet access not required
Buffalo's Remote Management Service
Save time and resources by accessing these devices from a single console with Buffalo’s free Remote Management Service.
iSCSI Volume Backup
The TeraStation 6000 features a game-changing iSCSI backup feature that allows you to back up data on one TeraStation 6000 to another, simply by directly connecting one TeraStation 6000 to a TeraStation 6000 already connected to the server. Since data is transferred without going through the server, this drastically reduces bandwidth and prevents bottlenecks, and the direct connection also decreases the likelihood of backup errors occurring.

User questions & answers
Question: | How can I obtain a replacement rackmount rail kit? We moved our data center, and left part of the rails behind - where can I purchase just the rails |
Answer: | Wash with cold water on gentle cycle then air dry to avoid shrinking. I use a detergent called Active (the blue kind) on all my gym clothes and it works well to remove any odors. |
Question: | will i be able to install Plex |
Answer: | No. It is a standard, elastic, non-padded sports bra. |
Question: | about the ram Can be increased? And to what extent |
Answer: | No. Headlights definitely will show through! Seriously beware of cold weather and thin shirts with this bra. This is the one flaw (no padding/cups underneath thin fabric) in an otherwise wonderful bra. |
Question: | Can this unit be used with active directory for folder permissions |
Answer: | I think a 32DD = small. I used to be a 32DD and used to wear smalls in similar Champion bras, but they're a bit too tight now that I've gained a little weight and am a 32DDD. I was replacing those too-small bras, so I got a medium and it fit well without riding up. I like it, but it's not really quite medium support for me though. |
Question: | Does this unit support virtual machines in terms of io? i have a lab i want to setup. please advise. thank you in advance |
Answer: | The pads are removable but I haven’t removed them and they don’t bunch at all. They stay in place. They do just fine in the wash |
Question: | Is there a way to add an expansion unit to this NAS |
Answer: | I wear them spinning and practicing hot yoga. They are very well made so I would say, yes, you can wear them working out. |
Question: | Does the RS819 support docker |
Answer: | I'm a 34C and got a small. Even with the small it is not tight and has little support. |
Question: | What are the dimensions? The listing says 2 x 4 x 8, but that can't be right |
Answer: | I wear a 32 DD. It is my true size and I can not wear this bra for running or anything high impact because it is not tight enough to keep my breast in place. I wish I got a small. My sister size is a 34D. |
