Download Windows 10 driver from TP-link site (under Support, Archer T9E, Windows 10 driver) -- this is a zipped file and unpacks to a SETUP application file. You run it and it says the driver is installed --- but really nothing happens, DM says there is no driver... Why? Because you MUST DISABLE the existing Network Interface Device first! Once you do this (then reboot) the Setup runs perfectly and all is well. Root Cause: What happens on Windows 10 system is that the new NIC is created as a Network Controller device, not under NETWORK ADAPTER as is should be (note, it didn't do this on my Windows 7 system). Answer:	The short answer is that 2.4 GHz will generally register as having better signal strength compared to 5GHz. Windows tends to prefer this, and most consumer routers won't signal the endpoint to switch to 5GHz. You can fix this by going to the advanced adapter properties, and seeing if you can set it to "Prefer 5GHz". Alternatively, the WiFi Mode setting can be set to a set that excludes 2.4GHz like 802.11 a/c/n/ac.

Answer:	I recently purchased this item from Office Depot. I was considering the Velop and the Netgear Orbi. Two factors that finalized my decision. I got a super price on this system and this system had 3 modules (which I thought would be better in my house. My internet enters through the bonus room above garage which is at one end. The bonus room is not connected with the remaining second story. I had to place one unit there with the modem. The second one is downstairs from that one (where my extender had been). The third was placed at bottom of stairs feeding the remaining 2nd level. I possibly could spread them further, but wanted to be sure at setup. I pay to have 100 mb service at modem and actually exceed this by 10-15 wirelessly throughout house. I no longer have dead spots (as I did even with my Netgear 1900 extender) and no longer lose connection with printers. Although, the Netgear Orbi may do the same, I am very pleased with my purchase. Only complaint that I had initially was that each module has only 2 Ethernet connections. When connecting the first unit with the modem, you only have one remaining. However, with the speed that I am getting wirelessly, it doesn't appear to be an issue. However, I would be more comfortable if at least one unit had 3or 4 Ethernet connections.

Answer:	I had the same problem. They provided a link to download the drivers, which I did. I installed them on my MacBook Pro and attempted to restart as prompted. My trusty Mac refused to restart even in "safe mode". Tried rebooting in recovery mode and again, would not boot up. I ended up reinstalling my entire drive from a back up drive. Total time wasted=5 hours and I sent this back for a refund. Don't bother wasting your money if you have a Mac, it will only cause you grief.

Answer:	Hey guys, I'm able to have it working on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS. I did follow the dkms solution posted by the other user; the script ran into an error, that's when I noticed the shell script requires a manual edit to edit out the version number for the driver's directory, once that's done the shell script ran just fine. Also, I had this adapter plugged into a USB 2.0 port, and the wifi would not accept the password; once I plug it into a USB 3.0 port (duh, lol) the wifi accepted the password and working just fine.

The TP-Link driver downloads do not offer a Windows 10 download for V1; however, there is a Windows 10 download for V2 and V3. I tried to install the V2 and V3 driver anyway, and although it installed, I only get 2-5Mbs down and about 4-5Mbs up. Same speeds for what Windows 10 auto detects and installs as Realtek RTL8188EU. I am in an adjacent room to my wireless router, through one wall and about 15 feet away. I have no idea why Amazon would still ship hardware that is not compatible with Windows 10. I’m only out a few bucks, so no big loss other than it being a hassle.

Answer:	I'm about 5 years behind this question and the comments :), but I can tell you that I have a 17.5" Acer 1TB laptop that is less than 18 months old, and I called to have my wireless modem replaced by Xfinity because I was only getting download speeds of about 100 - 112 when my service is supposed to deliver 250+ Mbps. But when we checked my cell phone, it showed 300 Mbps from the same router, and the tech said that my wireless card in this laptop cannot accomodate more than the 112 Mbps I've been getting! He said he's seen brand new high-end laptops with wireless cards that can't detect of connect with a 5G network like Xfinity's is. Maybe because of cost and the fact that probably a large % of people don't have service faster that 100 Mbps or so. So I haven't tried one yet, but most are in the $16 - $19 range. The top-rated (4,300 reviews averaging 4+ stars) is about $37, and that gets you 1,600 Mbps!! Hope this helps....

Answer:	I really don't know as of yet if this device does that or not. I run Linux (Debian 8.6, Linux Mint 18, 17.3, forget Ubuntu-I found too much spyware in that coupled with a wincrap laptop here somewhere) myself and just had not the time to mess with it on these features. It does work well on Linux under Ndiswrapper though I know I can do better with my own driver soon. Another winmodem that does well with what you want is Netgear 6210 (1900-3.0usb) but you will have to download the chip source and make the driver for it. Not the netgear one. Question:	Does this have beam forming technology
Answer:	This device is compatible with anything that has a usb port to plug it into and an active wifi connection. It was produced in 2012 and has to be able to upload the driver to your device either through a cd ( provided) or a search engine. I'm no ps4 expert but if your game meets these requirements it should work but it's not really plug and play. It will need configuring once it is set up. I have all new equipment and still never made this work real well for me. I haven't spent much time on it though. Results are different for others depending on the device and the wifi connection. The price is right but just keep in mind that the technology is 8 years old and will require some patience to set it up

Answer:	Hi, not sure about the 360. Though not apples-to-apples, I tried this on our Xbox One S for you (unplugging the LAN and trying to get the external wifi adapter to activate rather than built-in console wifi) and the One S did not recognize the adapter at all. You may be better off buying a wifi range extender than includes a LAN port so you can connect your wifi to the extender then run the ethernet cable from the extender to your xbox 360.

Answer:	Linux drivers (tar.gz source) are provided on a disc that comes with the adapter so you may have luck. Did not work for me for Ubuntu 18.04 LTS possibly due to the documentation that comes with the driver stating the driver was only tested/confirmed working with Linux Kernel up to 4.8 and my Kernel is newer than that.
