Answer:	It should work with any USB connection. I've used mine on my custom built tower which has USB 3.0 ports and my Sony Vaio laptop in both the 2.0 and 3.0 ports.
Question:	How many integrated tuners
Answer:	The length of the cable is 8" from the end of the hub to the end of the usb plug. I think some of the confusion comes from the multiple device listings on the same page. I believe the one I bought had a promo code and was the base model. That one comes as the hub alone. If you look closely, the other ones are listed with a 3 foot USB extension cable. It all depends what you are looking for. In my case I didn't need the extra 3' of cable laying on my desk. It worked fine for my older laptop with one USB 3.0 plug. Mine did not lose connection however as another customer had experienced. Hope this helps you out there and sorry for the delay in answering.

Answer:	If your TV is WiFi capable, Tablo should broadcast a WiFi signal of its own, like Tablo_XXXX, when hardwired to your modem. You would need the Tablo App. If your TV is not WiFi, then you may be able to flow it through your TV by connecting the USB from Tablo to the TV.
Question:	Will the unit power an external hd, not a usb stick
Answer:	Lifetime subscriber using a 1 TB external USB Toshiba drive (self powered, no power cord) for many years without any issues. Would purchase again.

Answer:	We have had our Tablo Quad for a couple months now. We also have four TV's hooked up to the internet and we have never had any issues and we have crappy internet. We can record most of our must have shows on the Tablo so we don't have to load up the Roku. We don't pay for the guide and it hasn't been a problem. I would highly recommend it
Question:	What are the restrictions if you don't subscribe to the guide service
Answer:	My premium trial subscription expired about a month ago so I thought I give the non-subscription Tablo a try. Here are my observations and opinions of the non-subscription after a month of using it. It is usable, especially if you don't do a lot of searches for new material. There is no search facility. There is no automatic time extensions of live events like football games, etc.. So, you have to manually add some estimated time in your manual record setup, very similar to the old VCR days. It does not differentiate between repeat episodes and NEW episodes, so you will sometimes end up with shows you've already seen. You can only look 24 hours into the future in the guide. I ended up using one of the online TV guide sites to see farther into the future for programming the show recordings. I find you pretty much need the online TV guide as a companion app. If you don't particularly enjoy a technical challenge of finding shows and typing in with a remote control, then this option probably is not for you. I'm more of a computer geek and find this option a little intriguing. But, for people who just want an easy, very elegant way of finding and recording shows, the premium subscription is definitely worth the money. I suspect someday I'll tire of this manual stuff and dish out the premium dollars. In the grand scheme of things, the $50 per year or $150 lifetime is a fraction of the cost of paying for cable video. Sticking with the non-subscription flavor is pretty much a case of the old English saying, Penny Wise Pound Foolish.

Question:	Will a better antenna help in reception? Can you recommend one for indoor(non-portable) use
Answer:	A better antenna does improve efficiency. I've tried several different types of rabbit ears and the like but have had the best success with one of the "leaf antennas" (copy and use this link for Amazon search: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_0_5?url=search-alias%3Delectronics&field-keywords=leaf+antenna&sprefix=leaf+%2Celectronics%2C252). I use it at work and I am at the outer edge of reception and behind some hills. As one of the other answers stated with digital it is usually there or not. These leaf antennas seem to be able to pull in the weakest stations with not problems. Also, the power amplifier included with some of the versions also makes a difference. If you live with lots of clutter (trees, hills, buildings, etc) try one of the powered ones. Good luck.
Question:	What type of antenna is included? Is it a clip on? Is it two antennas in a "V"? Is it a magnetic base? Is it a single pole antenna
Answer:	I have a telescoping antenna from a previous HDTV OTA tuner that has a heavier and magnetic base, however, it doesn't have any better/worse reception than this "V" antenna, which is so flimsy, each individual antennae isn't strong enough to stay in any fixed "up" position. Because the antenna is removable, pickup a cheap larger HDTV antenna and give it a try.
Question:	I can watch NBC,FOX, CBS via TV antenna/AverTV - very clear pictures, but I get no signal for ABC which I can see clearly on my TV when I connect the antenna directly to the TV. Why?? Answer:	It will drive you crazy trying to find a logical explanation, OR a fix. Had this for a couple of years. GREAT at first, then started losing channels, then died about 6 months ago. Very common to find the same in reviews on other sites. So the good news is, NO contract...the Bad news is, you get to buy a new one every year, that's if you are lucky. Get used to it folks, many electronic devices that used to last for 10 years, now last less than one. But to answer you specifically, it makes no difference. Ran through splitter for the year that it worked, when it quit, I tried direct, new wire, cleaned antenna connections, many hours of work wasted. Not saying some may have used bad splitters, and a temp fix may be lucky for you. For more info, check newegg with 10 times the reviews. It has a %47 total, %28 1 or 2 star and only %16 4 star. Even that is misleading because so many post the review when they first set it up and don't bother when it fails. As much as I enjoyed how well it worked at first, I refuse to pay $50 a year to keep replacing them.

Question:	Why can't I record from my Satalite as long as I have it on channel 3 or
Answer:	This isn't a DVR like the ones Comcast, Dish, ATT, and Direct TV provide customers. It's a receiver that converts terrestrial-digital, over-the-air broadcasts. I would assume your "Satalite" is Direct TV or Dish. So they're already HD and they're coming from space, not earth. Different signals require different units. You can't use a Comcast DVR to pick up antenna reception.

Answer:	Yes, with device hooked between your antenna and your TV you can watch free over-the-air broadcast TV as long as you are within range of those broadcast signals. If you live in or near a major city you should have no problem even with an interior antenna. If you live more than 30 miles from the broadcast source you will need an exterior antenna. In either case you will get more channels and a better picture if you upgrade any existing antenna to a "digital" antenna. I made my own. Answer:	There is No such thing as an HD antenna. TV signals are all transmitted over the air line-of-sight in VHF and UHF frequencies in the range of 49.75MHz - 855.25 Mhz with, for example, 49.75MHZ being channel 1 and 855.25MHZ being channel 69. These days, in digital i.e. 1s & 0s. This varies from location to location though. Here where I live there are No Tv stations on channels 1,2,3 and so forth. The local TV stations are all on channels 4, 5, 8, 11, 12, 13, and so on. Nevertheless, a TV antenna is designed to pick up those frequencies regardless of whether the digital signal contains HD or Non-HD programing & content. It does not differentiate between. It's the TV tuner that does the differentiating. Out-putting of HD and Non-HD programing & content on whichever channel it is to be displayed on. Oh, and TV turners are built into TVs. You don't need to buy an external TV turner which is essentially what this box is. Unless of course: 1. The TV tuner in your existing TV is doing a really poor job of tuning. A lot of LCD and Plasma TVs built before 2015 had really cheap low quality TV Tuners in them. They could not pick up weak TV signals. Whatever was being displayed on the screen broke up or was static. 2. You got a really Old Tube type TV that can't do digital. This box will take care of that. It will convert the digital Tv signals to analog. It has a DAC built as well. DAC = digital to analog convertor. If your TV is that old though you should probably be buying a new TV rather than one of these boxes.

Answer:	No, only for OTA over the air channels (ATSC)totally different

Answer:	I have. I’ve been experimenting with it as a replacement for TiVo. It is not listed as a supported tuner by Plex. I’m running Plex on a Win10 I5 system. All of the features seem to work but I’m having problems with pixelation that seems to be in the recording. This does not happen with the native hauppauge software. I’m using the most current drivers. Plex forums seem to indicate this issue appears after version 7 of Plex. I’ve been considering trying a Linux platform to see if the problem persists. I like Plex and the interface but for now it is not there to replace my TiVo for PVR functions with this tuner. The pci version of the quad tuner is supported by Plex. I ordered it from Amazon and after 8 weeks Amazon cancelled my order. Said they were unable to fill the order. Good luck

TV standards supported

WinTV-HVR-1265 support three TV formats: ATSC, clear QAM and NTSC. In addition, it also supports analog video input via S-Video or composite video.

Answer:	It is rather easy. You simply loosen two (maybe one, IDR) bolts/nuts and the TV bracket slides in the channel up or down the main vertical bar then retighten in the desired position. The vertical bar that is bolted to the floor does not move, contract or extend.
