Answer:	The recordings are 2 channel and I don't think you have an option for multichannel surround. I have not tested 3d but I believe it is supposed to. I will test when I can. I have some 3d BlueRays.

Answer:	I used to have that problem with my ClearClick (essentially identical to the non-pro verson of the Cloner Box). The device runs pretty hot so I speculated that the flash drive was overheating and causing write errors. After switching to an external hdd I never had another corrupt file. I also recommend Video Redo, a great smart encoding, frame accurate editor that's not very finicky.
Question:	What is the minimum bitrate at 1080p and can you change the frame rate at 720p
Answer:	"Recording Bitrate" can be adjusted in OSD menu with remote. FYI. Here are the corresponding value: High: 16Mbps, Middle: 10Mbps, Low：6Mbps I am sorry that there is no setting for the frame rate. It's written in the firmware.
Question:	Can I do "pause" while recording on the USB device by just the remote unit without using computer
Answer:	I have tried. I do not want the commercials in my recordings. I have not been able to get it to pause during recordings. I do not have a computer I use an iPad only. It records for 27minuets 54 seconds then shifts to a nother folder automaticly. I record to a 1tbite hard drive and works very well except for the folder change. Would I recommend it to others - NO because of that. I have many home videos that are well over 2 hours long and the system shifts folders during recording automaticly ---- UNEXCEPTAL I hope this helps. I am now looking for s different recording transfer unit. -----> I an not happy with some of the functions of the unit!!!!!

Answer:	When I listen to the recorded video on the camera itself the sound seems to low, however, after downloaded the files to my computer the sound is good. (I only use this camera to record "tutoring" sessions with one student for a college requirement). It has met my needs, but I would not use this camera to record family events. I would want a better quality.

The 4k camcorder as a webcam

The 4k camcorder has a webcam function. Connect to your PC via USB and use it with the free software “AMCAP”, which you can use as a webcam for video calls or Livestream.

Answer:	If you own a VHS-C to VHS convertor it would work. These are probably not available new but could be sourced second hand from eBay or even Amazon. The VHS-C converter looks like a regular VHS cassette with a sliding door on top where you fit the little guy VHS-C in. Good luck finding a convertor.

Answer:	I used this machine to make VHS copies to DVD's. After you are done be sure to "Finalize" your new DVD before removing it. Go to set-up, then DVD menu, then finalize? Then finalize-YES....otherwise you can't play copies in other friends machines...You can probably use your laptop to make copies DVD to DVD. thats what i'll be doing....with this machine you'd have to run the tape again for every copy... that would take a lot longer than your laptop copies

Answer:	You can purchase on optional remote control from the Hauppauge.com Web site, but it's not necessary. To use the channel changing capability you have to put the IR cable over the STB IR receiver, but you can just partially cover it so your STB's original remote still works.

Answer:	Yes, I have copied many vcr tapes. You need to order the optional cable from Hauppauge web site. Just copy the tape via the PVR2 software to your computer. Then use Windows movie maker to create your DVD from the file your PVR2 made.

Question:	Has anyone tried to use this with an external hdd or ssd? what is the maximum drive size it supports? several competitors only support up to 128gb
Answer:	I've used a 250gb SSD with this devise. It may support higher, I haven't tried. PS: Just remember that all capture devices of this type will limit video files to multiple 2gb size. This means if you have a captured video that will need 20gb, it will create 10 files. There seems to be no frames missing as you go from one file to the next. Also, there is no audio output for headsets. I recommend you investigate the DIGITNOW video capture device (Also on Amazon). It is a much better device.
Question:	how to recording from my laptop
Answer:	Connect the HDMI out from your computer to the HDMI in on the recorder. Be sure to connect to an external monitor to verify that you are getting signal.

Question:	Will this unit record play back from my directtv dvr? just want to record 15 min's of a show that i have on my dvr, to my pinnacle studio 23 software
Answer:	If the connectors going into the device are compatible, this should have no problem recording from a dvr. I use the HDMI input and directly record onto a flash drive at 1080 and then from the flash drive into my computer to edit. It's wonderful with no dropouts that I have encountered. I have been using this nonstop for 8 months with no problems.
