Answer:	You do not need a battery powered mic. I just tested one of my Giant Squid Audio Lab Omnidirectional Microphones and it worked fine. Question:	Several people commented on the WS 853 having low playback volume. Is the volume low only with speakers, or is it the same with earphones/earbuds
Answer:	I would say the small speaker playback volume does not get "loud". I recorded my voice and playback volume sounded the same. The default value is 30 (highest) and sounded comfortable in a quiet room by myself - though turned down to 20 and it still sounds fine. In a noisy area though, you will want to use headphones to carefully review the audio (or hold the speaker up to your ear instead of arms length away). Do not expect to the audio playback to "fill a room".UPDATE: I just noticed the "Diction" recording scene mode is definitely quieter! I was test recording in the various "Scenes" modes, and when I played the "Diction" one back on my computer it was CONSIDERABLY quieter. I would suggest sticking with the "Meeting" mode (the default) or "Off". For diction mode you probably need to speak very closely to the microphone or us an external microphone.NOTE: Set the "Record Level" to "High" as well

Answer:	I'm not sure how I ended up as a reviewer for this product other than I searched for an instructional manual. I had it, did not like it, and ordered an Olympus recorder. Most people who have ordered the Phillips product where I work have replaced it with the Olympus.

Question:	We are planning a presentation system using a PC connected to wall-mounted TV. Will sound from this microphone pass on to the TV speakers
Answer:	Our company currently uses a PC and a wall-mounted TV along with this microphone (and a camera) for video conferencing. The microphone is usually at least four feet from the TV and we've not had feedback issues. Success will also depend on your acoustic situation and how loud you need the TV to output. FYI: Our room is about 15 feet long with an 8-foot table, so we use a second (non-USB: CM-1000) microphone daisy-chained off the main mic, to make sure that everyone at the table is heard. I'm told that this microphone solution is working wonderfully.
Question:	Can you daisy-chain the usb models or do you attach the usb to the computer and extend with the 3.5mm jack models
Answer:	No. Only the 3.5mm jack models can plug into either the USB or other 3.5mm jack models. You do indeed need the USB model to start the chain from the computer, since the 3.5 mm models do not draw enough power to get the chain started.

Easy to Use

1. Press the button on the top for a few seconds until the led lights up. It will flash purple a few times, then turn off. This means it has started recording, when the light turns off. The LED is off during recording so people don't know that it's on.

2. If you press the button once quickly again, the recording stops and the red LED will turn on and this indicates the pen is in standby mode.

3. To turn off, press the button for a few seconds until the led flashes purple a few times, then turns off.

4. To switch photo mode by going into standby mode and double clicking the button. This changes the RED LED to blue, which means photo mode. Press the button once to take a photo (you know you are successful when the purple light blinks a few times).

5. To exit photo mode, you double click the button again and it goes into standby mode.

Question:	If i had a input of 4k will my loop out port put out 4k as well? or will it lower the quality going to the display
Answer:	port through remains at 2k for me only the PC receives the video at 1080

Question:	Why is thing thing popping up on my pc under devices and dissapearing
Answer:	this could be for several reasons But Probably caused by not having BOTH usbs plugged into the capture card Male to male Usb type A must go to PC and Capture card Micro Usb cable must be plugged into a device capable of powering it I.E a wall converter outlet or a FULLY powered USB slot (not a USB splitter{UNLESS it is powered from a wall as well}) other options could be the pc not able to find a compatible device driver from natural sources please do a google search with the model number for a driver for older PCs then Windows 10! Answer:	It’s a green-blue closer to the blue on a color wheel. It has a very vintage look to it because they’re is some “antiquing” paint on it so it’s like a dirty robin egg if you can picture it.
