Answer:	This card can accept an input from ONE video source at a time, using either the HDMI or SDI port, but not both at once. Black Magic does make cards with multiple active inputs, such as DeckLink Duo 2, if you need that functionality.

Answer:	Read up on the ATEM mini series. Purchase one to solve your headache. I think you can actually mix formats on it. With the ATEM mini you need no capture card. So you just connect to a third party streaming software. I prefer the ATEM mini pro. It has great capabilities.

Question:	Will this capture 7.1 sound (dolby digital/digital+/truehd), ac3 (this is what cable/satellite boxes use and i don't need to support idevices
Answer:	Tested it will pass 8 channel but will cause a cracking noise in the audio. Usually when you use this you use the stero track to line up the good audio which could be a 7.1 or 5.1 track. AC3 uses 6 wav files packed in a container called ac3. You can extract these to wavs import to davanci resolve and line up or some called sinc the audio then export out a 5.1 ac3 with the video. Usually a prores 422 is a good import codec. Google gereral1 and you can learn how to do this with videos I created to teach you how to capture with this thing. The raw capture in media express you cannot use. 12 gig every so many sec. You need to capture to prores 422 into a video editor then export out 422 10bit then encode to a deliverable format like h265 or h264. You never work native with post production codecs. This is a great card. It wlll capture the 8 channels on uhd signal but the cracking makes it only good for a sinc audio function. I own a happauge col2 and it does perfect ac3 in AAC at 660kbs which is the max bitrate for 6 channel toslink fibre optic capture. I use this card for studio work.

Answer:	The recordings are 2 channel and I don't think you have an option for multichannel surround. I have not tested 3d but I believe it is supposed to. I will test when I can. I have some 3d BlueRays.
Question:	Why is this putting out faulty mp4s that don't work in editing software? why aren't these files coded correctly? why is there no firmware fix
Answer:	I used to have that problem with my ClearClick (essentially identical to the non-pro verson of the Cloner Box). The device runs pretty hot so I speculated that the flash drive was overheating and causing write errors. After switching to an external hdd I never had another corrupt file. I also recommend Video Redo, a great smart encoding, frame accurate editor that's not very finicky.
Question:	What is the minimum bitrate at 1080p and can you change the frame rate at 720p
Answer:	"Recording Bitrate" can be adjusted in OSD menu with remote. FYI. Here are the corresponding value: High: 16Mbps, Middle: 10Mbps, Low：6Mbps I am sorry that there is no setting for the frame rate. It's written in the firmware.
Question:	Can I do "pause" while recording on the USB device by just the remote unit without using computer
Answer:	I have tried. I do not want the commercials in my recordings. I have not been able to get it to pause during recordings. I do not have a computer I use an iPad only. It records for 27minuets 54 seconds then shifts to a nother folder automaticly. I record to a 1tbite hard drive and works very well except for the folder change. Would I recommend it to others - NO because of that. I have many home videos that are well over 2 hours long and the system shifts folders during recording automaticly ---- UNEXCEPTAL I hope this helps. I am now looking for s different recording transfer unit. -----> I an not happy with some of the functions of the unit!!!!!

Answer:	The T5 is an EXTERNAL drive that is locked into a metal housing. You need a "raw" 2.5" SSD which can be placed into the Atomos "Drive Caddy" casing for insertion into the Ninja V. There is no USB-C connection to connect your T5.

The DeckLink Mini can only take YUV8 signals while the Intensity Pro can take YUV as well as RGB. Plus it supports more formats, e.g. [email protected] and [email protected] (but not 1080p @ 59.97).
