Answer:	I purchased Verbatim CD-RW discs with 700 MB capacity. It is very important to purchase RW instead of just R type discs. I purchased from Amazon the program "Express Burn Disc Burning" program as I need to Scan many Physical Records into my computer and then burned the information to the Discs. I was successful in copying pictures and records needed to file a claim with VA because of health problems when I was in Viet Nam for 2years, 6 months and 17 days. This also included MRI and X-Rays. I then would burn disc from information on the discs given to me from Hospitals, Doctors and information that I had to copy to a disc. I firmly believe that you need to purchase the CD-RW, Rewritable Discs to use and I firmly believe that you will be able to burn .ISO files using the Express Burn Program. I have tried using discs that are CD-W and it will not copy, pictures or the files that I needed to burn to a disc, however, when using the "Express Burn Program" with CD-RW discs, it will copy your files. Answer:	Hi, I do not have an i9, so I cannot give you a definite answer. I bought it for my wife who has an i5 with Windows 10. It installed easily and works fine. She loves that she can play blue rays and record her pictures to DVD. I assume you are running Windows 10 so that is not an issue. Basically, as long as the PC has a SATA port the unit should work fine. Also, if for some reason it does not work, you should be able to return it. Good luck.

Answer:	I purchased and installed this drive. It is capable of playing 4k video Blu-ray discs, but there are licensing issues. My understanding now (after installing the drive unit) is that you must purchase software that is licensed to play 4K video Blu-ray or the machine will refuse to co-operate. I became frustrated at that point and did not pursue the subject any further.

Answer:	It seems that your is an older PC, but that should not matter. My case is old, and since drives are a standard size, they fit all cases.

Answer:	From a theoretical standpoint there's no reason why it should NOT work. It has a standard SATA input and Vista is new enough to recognize the drive.

Answer:	This is a barebone drive. You're getting it cheaper because there is no software disk, manual and often not even a box. Physical stores sell these in a plastic bag, not even cardboard box. Don't worry though, my Windows 10 PC detected and installed it without any issues (didn't even have to download anything). You can then go to the LG site and download the software that would have came with it and download it. The software might have some nice features.

Answer:	As Paul O. said, "No". This is only a DVD drive - just the hardware. It would normally be controlled by a computer. The computer then would handle the input from your VHS player and send the information to this drive. You will also need software (program) to make the format transfer.

Answer:	A bunch of nonsense answers! Idiots! Yes. One of these works on my old mac pro 2009 but IIRC it took removing the black bezel on the front of the drive for it to work with the "stick your tounge out" mac keyboard commands. I don't recall offhand if my 2008 had sata or IDE for the optical. If SATA, then yes it would work there too, subject to removing the bezel (which pretty much snaps off). As for other flavors of macs...have no clue at all.
