You may have to unplug the device, wait for five- ten seconds, and then plug it back in for the other monitor to come on though. This happens with me every time I use it so I added a 4 port usb 3 hub with power switches for each port so I just have to hit a button to turn the port off for 5-10 seconds and then hit the button again to turn it on.
