7 best intel cpu fan

An Intel CPU fan is a crucial component of a computer's cooling system, designed specifically to dissipate heat generated by the Central Processing Unit (CPU). Proper cooling is essential to ensure that the CPU operates within safe temperature limits and maintains optimal performance. Here's what you need to know about Intel CPU fans:

  1. Purpose: The primary purpose of an Intel CPU fan is to cool the CPU by dissipating the heat it generates during operation. CPUs can get hot, especially during demanding tasks like gaming or video editing, and efficient cooling helps prevent overheating.

  2. Design: Intel CPU fans are designed to fit specific CPU socket types, such as LGA1151, LGA1200, and others, to ensure compatibility. They consist of a heatsink and a fan. The heatsink is a metal block with fins that help dissipate heat, while the fan blows air over the heatsink to aid in cooling.

  3. Heat Sink Material: The heatsink is typically made of aluminum or copper. Copper heatsinks are more efficient at conducting heat, but they can be heavier and more expensive than aluminum ones.

  4. Fan Size: CPU fans come in various sizes, often measured in millimeters (mm). Common sizes include 80mm, 92mm, and 120mm. Larger fans can move more air and provide better cooling but may require larger heatsinks and compatible cases.

  5. Airflow: The fan's airflow is measured in cubic feet per minute (CFM). A higher CFM indicates better cooling performance as the fan can move more air over the heatsink.

  6. Noise Level: Noise level, usually measured in decibels (dB), is an important consideration. Quieter fans are preferred for general use, while high-performance systems may prioritize cooling over noise.

  7. Cooling Solutions: Intel CPU fans are available in various forms, including stock or OEM fans that come bundled with CPUs and aftermarket options. Aftermarket CPU fans often offer better cooling performance and quieter operation than stock fans.

  8. Installation: Installing an Intel CPU fan typically involves attaching it to the CPU socket on the motherboard using brackets or clips. Thermal paste or thermal compound is applied between the CPU and the heatsink to improve heat transfer.

  9. Maintenance: It's important to keep the CPU fan and heatsink clean from dust and debris to maintain optimal cooling efficiency.Regular maintenance can help extend the lifespan of your CPU and prevent overheating issues.

  10. Compatibility: When purchasing an Intel CPU fan, it's crucial to ensure compatibility with your specific CPU socket type and motherboard. Manufacturers often provide compatibility lists for their products.

Intel CPU fans are an integral part of a computer's cooling system, helping to maintain stable and safe operating temperatures for the CPU. Choosing the right CPU fan for your system depends on factors such as your CPU model, motherboard compatibility, cooling requirements, and noise preferences.

User questions & answers

Question: what is the Max. air flow volume an speed
Answer: push pin only
Question: Will this work on dell optiplex 755 mini tower motherboard gm819 it not small for factor
Answer: I don't think the two sockets are the same lga775 vs lga1151 I have always used different fans for each.. if the BXTS15A hole pattern and clearance look the same it certainly is capable to cool the lga775 CPU as I also use this one on the i7-8700k which is unlocked and speeds to 4.7ghz, I would look for this one on AMAZON https://www.amazon.com/C25704-002-D34223-001-D75716-001-D37017-002-D95263-001/dp/B00YMJOH4U
Question: Will this fit msi g41m-33p motherboard
Answer: Not a good choice for a I9900K, You need a cpu cooler with at least a 95 watt rating. This cooler is noisy and heavy with a 65 watt rating. You spent a lot of money for your cpu. Look at Mugen or Nocturna if your going with an air cooler.
Question: will this fit a ms-7336 ver: 1.0 motherboard
Answer: Although plentiful, even sand can be wasted.

User questions & answers

Question: It has a strips attached to copper core does it already have the heat sink thermal compound or I would need to buy that with this fan
Answer: No its standard 3" by 3" .
Question: I want to see the picture, how many waiers it have
Answer: It is a matter of your mother boards socket type. If your board is a Socket 775, then this will work. I looked up your computer's processor offerings (http://www.dell.com/downloads/global/products/optix/en/opti_755_techspecs.pdf). From what I was able to see, you likely have a LGA 775. Then in that case this fan will work. Remember. If you change the fan then you WILL need to change the thermal compound that covers the chip. You'll only need a small bead applied to the center of the chip before applying the fan. The idea here is that you don't want the thermal compound spooging out from under the fan and CPU threads.
Question: Does this fit a Btx motherboard? I have a dell optiplex and was wondering if this would fit in it
Answer: it comes with a heat sink. Leave the cabinet fan alone. Unless the cabinet fan sits on top of the heatsink when the cover is placed, then you'll have to remove it.
Question: What are dimensions pin to pin? 80mm
Answer: 4 plastic standoff lock thru the 4 holes of motherboard. so you don't need any backplate
Question: Pre-applied thermal compound
Answer: When computer is resting the fan noise is almost not noticeable. When I'm using the computer the fan rpm wasn't bad but the noise was aggravating. The CPU temperature stayed low. I ended up replacing the CPU cooler with a low end Noctura unit which is dead silent and keeps the CPU temperature even lower. I'm using a I5 6400.

User questions & answers

Question: Does this come with thermal compound
Answer: Yes. All the coolers I know of have 4 sets of mounting hardware. One for AMD, one for LGA775, one for LGA1155/1156/1150, and one for LGA1366/2011/2011-3. For easy compatibility, they will have the holes on the same spots as the other 115X sockets.
Question: can the fan be replaced without replacing the heat sink
Answer: Hi Patrik, i3-2100 CPU is Socket 1155 which will work with the Cooling Fan. It is for desktop computer. If your computer is a small one such as miniPC, probably there is not enough space for the Cooling Fan. You'd better check the model name of the existing Cooling Fan.
