Answer:	It’s probably your switch, rather than the fan. No delay on mine. Yes, they are not as quiet as advertised. It’s not loud, but way above a “whisper.” The smaller version may be much quieter, but wasn’t large enough for my needs.
Question:	What does the "DC" mean
Answer:	DC stands for direct current. That's what makes the fan so quiet. One thing to note, since the fan is DC, there is a ten second delay before the fan actually come on. It works great though.
Question:	My install will be a retrofit. Can this be installed with no attic access
Answer:	Per Panasonic, if you already have a fan installed and a switch in the wall to turn that fan on and off, this will help with the install. This model does have the Flex-Z-Fast bracket to assist with install without accessing the attic. Depending on the size of the unit you are removing, you may need to cut a larger hole in the ceiling. The base of the fan is 10-1/4“ x 10-1/4”. Keep in mind, this model takes 6” duct, so depending what size duct the previous fan had, you may need to install 6” ducting to use this fan. The included installation manual will help provide further instructions for retrofit installations.

Answer:	I purchased this fan to replace an existing fan and I found the installation could have been a simple retrofit, but this model requires 6” ducting for proper operations. I made this ducting a part of my replacement as the previous fan was not properly installed. I will be purchasing a few more of these fans to install along with the appropriate duct and wall cap products. The fan includes an easy-to-install “Flex-z” bracket that makes this potentially a simple retrofit. The hole for the box is specked to be 10.5” square for “new” construction or 10 7/8” for replacement. I cut the hole for 10 7/8” and feel I could have made it the 10.5 “ size and still have made this retrofit work.

Answer:	I don't know but it would be diminished well over 100% in air flow, and it's not designed for that pipe. Pi x 2"(squared) = 12.5 square inches. Compare that to the cross sectional area of 6" pipe: Pi x 3(squared) = 28.26 square inches. That's a 126% increase cross-sectional area. I had cheap pipe too; these pipes will accumulate dust and plastic exhaust pipes no longer will pass building codes. Do it right and you will be glad you did. Usually an Easy Task: Just pull the 4" pipe out from the outside opening. But DO NOT, pull it out until you go and buy metal flex 6" pipe of the correct length. I duct taped my new pipe very securely with the old plastic pipe in my bathroom. You will be using the old plastic pipe to drag your new pipe into place. I had about 20' length to replace in my case. It worked fine until I hit a snag with a nail most of the way thru. I was able to take a 10' length of PVC pipe and use it to nudge the new vent pipe into a better position to slide and continue to fish thru the full length. Buy 10 or 20 feed of extra 6" flex metal pipe. In case you damage some of it while fishing it thru your corridor. This way you can keep pulling it out until you get an air tight section from end to end. If you will use a generous amount of high-end duct tape to join your pipes securely, this method works very well. I would not attempt this with low quality duct tape. There is a huge difference in strength and adhesive.

Answer:	Not sure, but I believe it is an led bulb that emits a nice blue light. From 8' height is casts a small diffused amount of light around an ten foot area.

Answer:	The duct is 6". Because of the airflow (150 CFM) you can't use anything smaller than 6" without severely reducing airflow and putting extra strain on the motor.
Question:	It says it has 3 modes: motion on/off, motion on/humidity off, and humidity on/off. So it doesn't sense both at the same time & you have to pick one
Answer:	There are two circuits for this fan. The main circuit supplies power to the electronics and fan for the automatic operation. Powering this circuit alone will run the fan at the selected slow speed (0%, 50%, 80%,or 90% of high speed)and if the humidity reaches the selected percent (50, 60, 70, 80, or 90%), the motor will slowly increase in speed up to the highest speed. By the way, the fan draws 2.4 watts on 50% slow speed, and 11.5 watts on the highest speed (measured). The blue LED is on in the automatic mode.If you want to force the fan into the highest speed without regards to the level of humidity, simply apply power to the "mode" circuit. This is an isolated circuit from the main power circuit, and powers only an opto isolator for control purposes. When powered, it switches the motor to full speed, and the LED changes from blue to yellow.It would be possible to power the fan from one switched circuit for the automatic operation, and connect the mode circuit to the bathroom light so anyone going into the bathroom would force the fan (if on) to the high speed. Answer:	If you are talking about the Hurricane Inline Fan 6 in 435 CFM, then yes it will work. The Hurricane Inline Fan 6 in 435 CFM runs off of 1 amp at 120 V and the Titan Controller Mercury 4 is capable of running a 6 amp fan at 120 V

Does not work with Can Max Fan Mixed Flow Inline Fan, 8-Inch 675 Unit.It will turn the Fan But it makes the Fan Humm. And when you let it cycle it cannot get the fan turning at Idle even if the Idle is set to a very high speed like on full! When it works its great but it is not reliable and the damage it is trying to cause by heating up the Fan and shortchanging it of voltage is not how you slow a Fan motor.. This is not Ready to be sold .. Please Redesigning this. Or Sell fans that work with it.. Answer:	There are 3 different modes you can see the bottom knob is to be adjusted for the response you want. So it can do ither but best thing to do is look up a better picture of this controller and you will see it says idol that's the low speed but yeah it's awesome but be aware I went through 3 before I got one that worked as advertised, I just kept sending them back first one didn't work right out the box, second one was off by 10 degrees.

Answer:	I have my fan set on the upper mode of the three modes: During the day it will modulate between idle and full speed to regulate temp, at night is the same but will shut down if the temp goes below the set point. Mode two runs the same but will not turn off at night. Mode three will turn it off during the both periods if low temp is reached. The instructions that come with it explain it simply.

Answer:	Once you turn the fans on they stay on. They do not cycle based on temperature. I adjust mine based on the Refrigerator temperature. I have a monitor for my Refrigerator as well. The fans have six speeds from very low to high. As long as the fans are on you have air movement which will help keep your refrigerator cooler. I found by putting in these fans, that I almost had no air movement before. I hope this helps you in your decision making.

Answer:	From what I remember when I installed this, the length was about 5-6 feet. I had Just enough to connect to the control. This unit came with the 3-pin connector and I just had to hook it up to the 12volt wires. I don't believe they would sell this if you had to buy a connector.
