Answer:	Hi,Let's answered the question one by one.This works in terms of connecting the burner to the computer via USB depends on the operating system's plug and play. It does NOT come with any installing software as the system should recognized an external drive connecting via USB. As in the operating system, Window 8 and 7 works well. XP is just too old of an operating system, but if the SP2 on XP supports plug and play, there is no problem.There is no software for the drive. The duplicator (not the drive) is the controlling factor. The idea of a duplicator is to copy a disc from a disc (not from a computer). Computer tends to be slower as an external burner will attest. Disc to disc copy is much faster.As in for final question, it usually depends on the size of the file and the speed of the disc. For 1GB on a 16x disc is usually within a few minutes. 3.7 GB worth of files on a 4x will take close to an hour. Like it pointed out, it depends on the file and the blank disc you are using that will determine the time and how fast it can burn.
Question:	Can you play the dvd recorded on this device in any DVD player
Answer:	Hi, it depends on the dvd player you're using. If the DVD player mentioned it can only play DVD-R discs, then only use that type of discs to make duplication. You need to check the dvd player for disc compatibility. Answer:	No, it doesn't split the files or let you edit on the unit. You will need to format the files correctly to be play on a disc when you inserted on to the SD card because you will not be able to split or edit from the machine. It will copy the entire file from the SD card and the disc will only play when it is close after each file being copied. Thank you very much.

Answer:	Hi, No, you will not be able to select a track as this is simply a duplicator that copies the whole disc when you insert the blank and original disc on the reader. There are no editing function on this unit. As others suggested here, you'll need to compile a disc first before you start copying. Thank you very much.

Answer:	No, the karaoke discs are a different format and discs. This will not read any Karaoke or CD+G discs, so it will not copy as well.

Answer:	Hi, it does burn DVD RW discs. Either + or - RW discs. Please keep in mind that the format we listed are for copying discs. The original disc still need to be formatted to be play on other DVD rom or players in order for the blank discs to be copied. Also, as mentioned by previous user, only non-copy protected discs can be inserted in the master drive to be use for duplication.
Question:	what i/o in the rear
Answer:	This is a stand alone unit. It doesn't connect to anything external. So there is no i/o in the rear. You put the original cd/dvd in the top tray, the target disk to be copied in the bottom, push them it. It does the rest. When the copy is finished, the bottom tray opens. if you are done, you can also take the disk out of the top tray and power the unit off.

Answer:	Hi Ricko,If the Tv has an HDMI input available you go from DVD player hdmi out to the TV using an HDMI cable if not RCA audio & video which are yellow for video Red for right side audio & white for left side audio. Look at the back of your directive box if it has an s video out use that for video to the dvd player & RCA audio cable red/white for sound. If the directive box does not have an S video out then use RCA cable.for audio & video.
Question:	Will this work with an ipad pro
Answer:	Yes, that is what I use it for exclusively. First I record a program on my dvr, then I play the DVR'd program while recording on the Toshiba. I have a component cable (3 prongs) that runs from my cable box (video, audio L and audio R out) to my Toshiba (video, audio L and audio R in). Works great. This also allows me to control when I start and stop the recording. Sometimes a movie will not last a full two hours, but will stop 10 minutes before to show "coming attractions," etc.
Question:	Can i load software onto my mac with this? mac no longer makes computers with a drive and i need to load some software that is not downloadable
Answer:	If you don't have a cable or satellite receiver and are receiving your tv signals with an antenna, you either have a tv with a digital tuner or a separate digital tuner/ converter box connected to your tv. If you're using a digital converter box from your antenna to the tv, connect the outputs from the digital converter box into the inputs of Toshiba DR430 Recorder and then connect the outputs of the recorder to the TV inputs. You will be connecting from the video (yellow jack), audio (red & white jacks) to the same colored jacks in & out from the Toshiba DVD Recorder to an input on the TV. If you're not using a digital converter box already for your local stations, you will have to buy one to connect to the Toshiba Recorder to record local shows because the recorder does not have a tuner in it. You can buy them for about $30 bucks at Wal-Mart or Radio Shack. I gave you a lot of information but it's easy to setup. They can guide you at Radio Shack. I have one box hooked just this way and it works fine. Hope this was of help.

Answer:	There is NO such thing as HDMI input on a DVD recorder. Part of HDMI is to prevent end users from recording copyrighted material so you will never see an hdMI input on anything but a TV.

Answer:	There are a few different ways that you can connect a cable box to the DMR-ES25S. I've mainly used the composite RCA outputs (red, white, and yellow cables) to connect with. Answer:	The DVD recorder's input connections are RF (coax), composite, and S-video. S-video is analog. If you have S-video output from your computer, and separate audio to the RCA jacks, it probably would work. Haven't tried it. If you're thinking about recording protected signals (say, play a protected DVD on your computer and record on the DVD Recorder), don't expect that would work because the electronics typically disrupt those signals from being recorded.

Answer:	used with copystar, when switched to the pc, I use imageburn to convert the video folders to the copystar via iso image (hard disk in copystart requires iso image). Switch back to copystart internal and burn from the iso image.
