Answer:	You will need additional software in order to play Blu-ray Discs. For windows they provide a free viewer, which I cannot comment on, since I own a Mac. For a Mac, I recommend Blu-ray Player Pro, which has a free version, but it has a watermark that does get annoying after awhile. The paid version is $35, and it works great. Hope that helps.

Answer:	There is an AC power adapter, along with the usb y adapter. the instructions state that most computer usb ports will power the drive, but if it doesn't, the second is available.

Answer:	I know this would be a lot of work, if your computer has an hdmi output. Run the output to an audio extractor input which are rca and hdmi then to the stereo receiver, and then the hdmi extractor's output to the tv. Of course what you see on the tv will be the whole computer and then you would select the Verbatim as an external drive and plaback any dvd's from that drive. I don't know if this would work or not. I have an extractor with multiple inputs and an output to the tv. I run my Amazon fire tv thru it for better sound and it seems to work ok. Like I said it might be a lot work with a computer. I have never tried it that way. Give it a shot.

Answer:	I've got a mid-2015 MBP, and it has worked great with DVD and BD playback; I have not tried 4K UHD or any burning, yet. For BD playback with VLC, I had to install some additional libraries.

Answer:	It will play a 3D disc if that is what you are asking. It is up to the receiving system to be able/be enabled to play 3D. It will play a 3D disk in standard Blu-Ray form on my computer. I have a 3D hub, but not a qualified 3D receiver (i.e. TV or Monitor) of any kind. Hope this helps.

Answer:	It will... but beware, as those (plus DVDs) are ALL it will play. Turns out that "4K Ready" actually means that the drive is equipped with a ruinously restricted copy protection system that will only allow it to play 4K UHD discs if used with a computer that has an equivalently copy protected graphics chipset... which at present is solely supported by Intel on-motherboard graphics. Meaning that if you have an Nvidia or AMD or any other brand of discrete graphics card, there is no way to get UHD to play. On the other hand, most pre-"4K Ready" blu ray drives actually ARE capable of playing UHD with appropriate aftermarket software modifications/support...
