Answer:	It should without a problem. Ash is one of the hardwoods that splits easy, especially green. I like this splitter because of price and was able to set it on a table next to wood pile. Work at waist height. I had a hardwood that had been drying for about 4 months and it split it well. You can go a little bigger on size than they advise and some bigger by finding spots to split in sections. Again it has performed well at least for a cord of wood so far.

I have purchased 2 of these cases and they work great for my purpose which is straight processing power for a render farm. I don't add any extra peripherals, i.e. video cards etc... When I do build a new "workstation" for myself or colleague I use the Corsair Obsidian Series 750D Performance Full Tower Case CC-9011035-WW. It is only about 40 to 50 more depending on what day of the week and it is an awesome case, very large, a true full tower. It will fit anything you want and ever will want. Buy the Corsair. Hope this helps.
