Answer:	It depends on what chip is used in those cards. It only work on the 13.56Mhz contactless cards. From what I have found on the web, CAC cards are contact cards that have to be inserted into a reader to be read.

Answer:	Yes it should. It works with Type 2 tags. I have an NTAG216 and it works great, so I would suspect this would do the same.

Answer:	Have learned to carry a charger with me for full day events. It's going to depend on how many transactions it processes. Mine will process about 12 transactions before needing to recharge in about 6 hours. Learned that first day I used it and it went dead. No other problems besides updates. Someone said it will stay charged for 18 hours. It will if its NOT used to process transactions. If you are doing an all day event, be safe and carry a charger.
