I did not pay extra for high definition service nor did I buy a high-definition DVR which is Required for the upgrade in service . So i didn't purchase the dish that required more intricate positioning to bring in the high-def signalls (4, i think). The simple dish i bought is a treat to own. It is very simple and "universal". It is easy to set up for an ordinary signal. You would know if you Need the more intricate dish because u would have paid for all-around HD upgrade. The dish I bought comes with one coaxial cable and a Connection to attach a second Cable. I bought a second cable. Thus you can either attach two receivers, OR one DVR that requires two input cables. Just bring your "house" receiver for travel, as long as u didnt pay for HD upgrade. Installing is easier with two people. One to move the dish to sweep for the signal-- the other indoors to holler outside when the signal "beeps." I took the dish and receiver box /or DVR camping with travel trailer hookups many times. I will always stay with satellite as my source. Have dish. Grab and go! Use the Internet on your phone to find out your azimuth etc. good luck.
