Answer:	The newer MacBooks have a butterfly mechanism, which provides for very short travel and a firm feel, but which has had problems with dirt getting under the keys and incapacitating the keyboard. Apple may or may not have fixed this with a dirt barrier in the 2018 version. The magic keyboard has a scissor mechanism, which has proven to be reliable, and it has been reengineered for a shorter travel. It takes some getting used to, but I'm really getting to like it. Here's how Apple describes the mechanism: "A scissor mechanism beneath each key allows for increased stability, while optimized key travel and a low profile provide a comfortable and precise typing experience."

Answer:	Yes, you can pair multiple devices to host system. Just be aware that the more bluetooth devices you pair (especially older ones and new ones at the same time) the bluetooth can lag because it keeps switching the different bluetooth revisions. Normally it's not too bad but every once in a while it will freeze for a moment on my Mac (and in the tech logs it talks about bluetooth connectivity failed to connect, but it clears in a minute. If you have more than one computer or device where you would want to use the keyboard (such Apple TV) they can be paired with multiple devices but you must switch the input or turn bluetooth off (or disable the device) on the one you don't want to use the keyboard at present. This is only an issue if both the laptop & Mac are both turned on at the same time and within bluetooth range of each other.

Answer:	Yes, it does. However the modifier keys at the bottom are organized for the Mac; you may instead want to check out [[ASIN:B015LSEUS8 the PC version of this keyboard]] instead. You will also want to use it in "Windows" mode (Fn+E) so the function keys F1...F12 become primary. If you were to switch to Android mode (Fn+W) the media keys become primary, but unfortunately this also means the ESC key would require the Fn modifier as well. This is the single most important reason I would not recommend this keyboard.

Answer:	Yes, it will work with a Windows PC, but it's missing the "Windows" labeled button to the left of the spacebar. Actually it's missing both the WINDOWS and ALT keys, which are replaced with the Macintosh OPTION and COMMAND buttons. So unless you want to fiddle around with key-mapping software to try to duplicate the Windows and ALT keys, I'd look for a keyboard that's actually designed for Windows.
