Answer:	The drive in the enclosure will only spin when data is being accessed. So turning the computer off definitely stops the enclosure drive from spinning. The enclosure also has a on/off power button.
Question:	is there a heating problem or how is the heat dissipated
Answer:	I had a heat problem, used it for 5 months. The drive had no files on it so shouldn't have run hot. I took the drive out, let it cool off, put it back in and there was no power to the enclosure. I put in two other working drives, still no power to it. I put the drive in another enclosure and it was not hot, copied 350GB of files to it and it is still not hot. Apparently the enclosure malfunctioned.

Question:	What are the differences between the 5 price options
Answer:	I've bought 2.5" enclosures and 2.5" portable drives, and all have used this same US B3.0 cable. The only other kind of USB 3.0 I've seen has a much larger, bulkier end; and I've only encountered it on enclosures for 3.5" drives - and those require a 5v power source in addition to the USB 3.0 cable. I don't actually know why the difference, but I assume it has something to do with the fact that the larger connector would defeat the purpose of having a small portable drive that is easily pocketed and does not require an external power source other than the USB connection itself.

Answer:	i can't recommend it to use with linux. i've installed ubuntu 17.10 to this enclosure (with intel ssd inside) and booted it. it works for 5-10 minutes and then hangs on (seems that it disconnects from usb port - i see ext4/block device errors). i've tried it with dell optiplex desktop's and with dell laptops - the same result.

Question:	Can one of the ports be a hard drive and the other ports be a Blu-ray burner drive to be connected to a laptop that does not have any CD drive
Answer:	No. There is not room in the case for any adapter.
Question:	Do you need a 2 1/2 inch drive adapter to use in this enclosure
Answer:	Make sure your hard drive is connected securely inside the enclosure and of the cable connections. Try a different usb port on your computer, could be a faulty usb port on your computer. If it’s on a windows computer, you could check the power settings for USB, it should be under USB Selective Suspend. If that doesn’t work, could be the cable from the enclosure or the enclosure itself. I haven’t had any issues with mine thus far, I’ve tried a few hard drives and SSDs on Mac and Windows computers. If you’ve tried everything, even testing with a spare usb 3.0 to micro b m/m cable, I would reach out to the seller for a resolution.

Answer:	According to the Crucial website, the MX200 uses an mSATA connection, not the type of SATA connector that is used on most SSD/hard drives, so you need a different type of enclosure. MacSales/OWC (among others) make an enclosure that will work for this type of SSD card/interface, do a search on Amazon for "mSATA enclosure" and you should find quite a few enclosures that should work...but be careful because other types of enclosures will show up with that same search so be certain that you're buying one that has an internal *mSATA* interface. Answer:	I would bet probably so. Windows-to-go is dependent on your hard drive choice, but I have seen it work when "it really shouldn't". Where most people get sidelined is not the drive choice but the bios/setup settings on the pc/laptop/etc device. The variance among them is huge.

Question:	Is this anti static? How does it work
Answer:	Try the connections everywhere, unplugging them and re-plugging them, the hard drives as well. Then restarting the system, if they still won't work I would consider them broken as long as there isn't something wrong with your drives and cables. They are a bit cheaper than other enclosures, I was surprised how flimsy they are, I would suggest getting a better enclosure, it would cost more to repair those than to just purchase a few of better quality.

Answer:	Yes. There are four mounting screw holes on the bottom and three on each side just like an actual 3.5" HDD.
Question:	Will this work in a Mac Pro tower
Answer:	These are the first and only caddies I've used on mac pro towers that REALLY WORK. No issues. Once I screwed down a couple on the mac Pro disk "drawer" metal brackets, I can pull and pop SSDs in and out in seconds, something I can't say for the traditional duct tape technique. I got a couple and regretted not buying more right away. One great thing is how quickly the SSD slides in and out of the Orico "nest". I only use one screw in a corner away from the connector end to hold the SSD in, that's plenty. Find a screw with that tiny threading that's easy to grab so you don't even need to use a screwdriver. Keep a couple of Oricos assembled to mac pro brackets, position the Orico just right tighten the screws and then never mess with that again. Just loosen the SSD fastening screw to change only the SSD. Granted, the mac Pro SATA is 3gb not 6, so for best performance you'd want a PCIe card SSD mount, but in most situations it doesn't really make much difference.
Question:	Does this work with hotswap bays that rely on the standard connector position to function correctly
Answer:	Hello ORICO. What Virginia means is the drive bay MUST BE THE EXACT FORM FACTOR AS A 3.5 " drive. This means that the screws would be in the same position as a 3.5" drive and the connector would be in the same position as a 3.5" drive. Why would you want this? Because as Virginia stated some people have drive bays that 3.5" disks slide into and it would help if the connectors and screws lined up. It certainly looks large enough for this

One-touch offline clone

1. Insert Source Disk into hard drive bay, then insert Target Disk into another.

2. Push the PC / CLONE switch on the back of the hard drive to the CLONE side.

3. Connect power supply and press the POWER switch.

4. Then press the START Button on the back.

5. A Blue LED will flash on 20% indicating that the cloning process has begun.

6. The cloning process is complete when ALL the lights turn solid Blue (20%-100%).

7. Finally press the POWER switch and eject your drives.

Notes

- Target Disk must contain more space than Source Disk.

- Please backup files in the target hard drive before cloning. Any files in target hard drive will be overwritten when offline cloning occurs.

- To avoid data loss, do not remove or insert drives when one drive is working in the docking station. Please power off the docking station before removing.
