Answer:	The cable I purchased was 20' and it works very well for what I needed. I understand anything over 15' in length can sometimes be a problem, but the only connection problem I have from time to time is when I want to perform a batch scan job from my desktop. Sometimes, my scanning program doesn't connect with my printer. But I think maybe that's more of an issue with my desktop scanning program; not so much my cable. Printing works fine.

Answer:	Quality of wire used and length are most important, then awg. Look for solid copper wires not "copper coated."
Question:	What is the height of the B connector once plugged in? ie, how tight a space can I cram this into
Answer:	In the application that I used it in, the back of the "B" connector (once plugged in) sticks out about 11/16" past the flush end of the USB "B" female connection. Of course, you do have to have about 1 1/16' of clearance in order to plug the cable in, unless (as in my application) you can plug the cable in before mounting the USB interface in place. Answer:	The cable can connect USB 2.0 to 3.0, BUT this is because USB 3.0 devices are Backwards Comparable -- the USB 3.0 device will interact as if it is a USB 2.0 device. So the cable does not convert USB 2.0 to USB 3.0, but will allow the two devices to talk, and the USB 3.0 device will 'Revert' back to running as an USB 2.0 device. But NOTE: where this backward compatibility fails is where the USB 3.0 device needs the higher speed connection that USB 3.0 provides -- when both ends of an USB 3.0 cable are connected to USB 3.0 devices. For example some video converters, if starved for high speed data will not be able to show quality video.

Answer:	You might. I just got a wireless hp printer and for whatever reason I have to buy a printer cable and plug it into my laptop to get it to show up in my wireless network. It's absurd. It connects just fine to my phone with the printer app no problem but to hook up to my computer I have to physically plug it in first so it can "set up" something or other.
