Answer:	I do not have this product (yet, I'm about to order it), but I'm pretty sure that will not work. This has one USB-A port coming in, and two USB-B ports going out. What you need is two USB-A ports coming in, and one USB-B port going out. Fortunately, that type of device exists. It's called a "USB Hub" and they are usually cheaper and more widely available that this. (A hub usually has four inputs, and will allow you to have both printers active at the same time)

I share the printer with my assistant and it works just fine, whoever needs to print makes the switch. In this picture you can see to round buttons on the front, those are the A and B switch. Question:	Is plugging in micro usb port require if i just want to connect a keyboard and mouse
Answer:	I use this as a switch between 2 computers to a dell triple-monitor docking station to switch 3 monitors between a work computer and home PC and it works nicely. I connected the docking station to this kvm switch through the keyboard/mouse USB connection and it works well so far(only been about 2 weeks). I can tuck it all nicely away and just have the toggle switch within reach. The toggle is magnetic and come with a metal pad you can put anywhere with an adhesive backside. I have no complaints so far.
Question:	Does it allow switching between computers with a hotkey rather than pressing the button on the device
Answer:	Nothing on their product page mentions FreeSync so my guess would be "no it does not" but I can't say for sure. It's possible any FreeSync signals would just be encoded in the video signal and passed through this device, but I don't have a setup with FreeSync to test that with. You might have to call the manufacturer and ask.

Answer:	Yes. Just remember it's a "hard switch". Meaning when you switch to PC2, as far as PC1 is concerned you just unplugged your keyboard, mouse and monitor. Windows tends to lose track of it's open windows when you do this and you have to put them all back when switching back. So if you are looking for a solution where you can quickly switch back and forth you might need to go the route of a more expensive traditional KVM that emulates the K/M and video to the host computer(s).

Answer:	There are 2 power inputs that you have to supply the power to. If you supply it, that travels through the switch to the computers. If not, you connect them directly to their alternate power supplies. That said, there are two of them, on for each device. When you connect the devices into the switch, everything else goes through the KVM. Including any devices you connect to the KVM on USB, such as webcams, keyboard, thumb drives, etc. I do have strange issues when connecting and disconnecting my laptops. Some times it stops charging the other one and then I have to plug it in again. Outside of that, this KVM works very well.

So the cable does not convert USB 2.0 to USB 3.0, but will allow the two devices to talk, and the USB 3.0 device will 'Revert' back to running as an USB 2.0 device. Answer:	I'm not sure. What I did to connect my two laptops was purchase a printer switch. I got the TekRepublic USB Sharing Switch, and it works great though you'll need the cables as well. There are other brands that I'm sure do just as good a job. They're cheap, under $20. Good luck.

Answer:	This is manual switch, not auto switch. You need to manually hit button on switch or use program to witch between source. Program comes with switch.

Answer:	I use this device to connect two computers to one printer. The USB 2 cable from the printer plugs into the end of the device with only one port (USB 2 port), and the two computers plug into the side of the device with two ports (the two ports shown in the picture). You have to manually switch between which computer you want to print from. My husband only rarely prints from his desktop, so switching back and forth is not an issue for him.

Note :

Connect one end of a printer cable (named Cable1, length: 5m) to a printer while the other end plug into the USB port of the Sharing Swicth, whose other end has two USB ports named PC1, PC2, which can be connected to the two PCs with two USB A to B printer cables (Cable2 & Cable3, length: 5m). Then PC1 and PC2 can share one printer.

But now the total working cable length is Cable1+Cable2 (or Cable2+Cable3). Which means 10m! It is well known that the transmission signal will become weaker and weaker as the cable becomes longer and longer.

Answer:	There are no lights or LEDs to go by. Only the switch position.

Answer:	I’m not real sure about that. It’s like an AB switch and I used it to connect a laptop and a desk computer to a printer. It work but you have to switch it from one to the other, both can’t print without switching.

Answer:	All 3 pore USB 2.0 so no issues with the 2 Windows 10 computers. I'm not familiar with the USB midi controller keyboard, but if it connects to a USB 2.0 port it will work with the splitter. I have a wireless keyboard and mouse that I use.
Question:	Switch seems to work well alone. i bought a 3.0 ext. cable, but switch makes device not readable. is the cord bad or is this beyond product limits
Answer:	Product is crap. Mine is in the trash now. Worked great at first but was very short lived.

Answer:	The cable I purchased was 20' and it works very well for what I needed. I understand anything over 15' in length can sometimes be a problem, but the only connection problem I have from time to time is when I want to perform a batch scan job from my desktop. Sometimes, my scanning program doesn't connect with my printer. But I think maybe that's more of an issue with my desktop scanning program; not so much my cable. Printing works fine.
