6 best micro sata cables cf cards

Micro SATA cables for CF cards refer to cables used to connect CompactFlash (CF) memory cards to a computer or other devices through a Micro SATA interface. Here's what you need to know about these cables:

  1. Connector Types: Micro SATA cables for CF cards typically feature a Micro SATA connector on one end and a CF card slot on the other. The Micro SATA connector is designed to plug into a compatible port on a computer or device.

  2. CompactFlash (CF) Cards: CompactFlash is a type of flash memory storage commonly used in older digital cameras, audio recorders, and some industrial equipment. CF cards come in various capacities and are known for their durability and reliability.

  3. Data Transfer: These cables are used to transfer data between a CF card and a computer. When connected, they allow the computer to read and write data to the CF card, making it possible to access and manage the contents of the card.

  4. Compatibility: It's important to ensure that the Micro SATA cable is compatible with the specific type of CF card you are using. CF cards come in two main formats: Type we and Type II, which differ in thickness.Make sure the cable and CF card slot match the type of CF card you have.

  5. Usage: Micro SATA cables for CF cards are useful for tasks such as data backup, file transfer, and data recovery from CF cards. They are commonly used by photographers, videographers, and professionals who work with CF card-based storage.

  6. Data Speed: The data transfer speed of these cables depends on the version of the Micro SATA interface and the CF card itself. Newer versions of Micro SATA may offer faster data transfer rates, but the CF card's speed limitations may also play a role.

  7. External CF Card Readers: Some users prefer to use external CF card readers that connect to a computer via USB or other interfaces. These readers can provide convenience and compatibility with different types of memory cards, including CF cards.

  8. Accessories: Micro SATA cables for CF cards are sometimes sold as part of a kit that includes adapters or converters to connect CF cards to other types of ports, such as USB or SATA.

  9. Replacement and Repair: These cables may be necessary if the original cable that came with your CF card reader or device is damaged or lost. They can serve as replacements to ensure continued functionality.

In summary, Micro SATA cables for CF cards are used to connect CompactFlash memory cards to computers or devices with Micro SATA ports. They facilitate data transfer and access to the contents of CF cards, making them useful for various applications, including data backup and recovery. Compatibility with the specific CF card type and the device's Micro SATA interface is essential when selecting the appropriate cable.

User questions & answers

Question: Is this a 90 degree connection to the IDE connector inside the lap top or something else? It make no sense frol the picture
Answer: Inside of hp T5730 thin client computers, they have a Disk-On-Module or DOM. A good view of one is at Amazon, search for "Apacer 4GB IDE DOM 44Pin 90d Jumperless 8C-4DD26-8256B" and you will see photos of both sides. The pins on this one appear to be hidden but on the bottom side. The original 2GB and 4GB apacer doms are a bit pricey so I am considering getting this, putting it in the thin client and and adding a 16GB CF card to load the operating system on. Hope this helps.
Question: Works with ursamini pro
Answer: Works with my Ursa Mini 4.6K. I do not own a UM Pro but have no reason to believe it wouldn't work-only a few new controls added. A quick google of this question should give you a firm answer.
Question: One reviewer said that this cable didn’t work with the c200. Will it work if I try different ssd’s? Or is the cable incompatible
Answer: I saw someone in a comment section on a youtube video say that Canon's c300 & c200 cfast drives door has to be closed for the the drive to work! A cfast to esata adapter would force the little door to stay open.
Question: Hi. I just bought and successfully installed it into my iPod 7th Gen with a 32gb compact flash. When I power up the iPod I get a big RED X...HELP
Answer: If you are getting a big RED X then that means that your iPod doesn't recognise the memory and the CF card. What you can probably do is to reverse the cable or the CF card and slot it again. When I say reverse then that means if your point one of the data cable is starting from the left side up then reverse it so it starts at the right side bottom. There maybe a fault with the cable so you may have to double check on that. Either way the problem seems to be that your iPod is not detecting memory and that is why the BIG RED X. Ensure that you have connected the data cables in the right way because there are less chances of your new CF card or your new CF converter card to malfunction. GOODLUCK!
Question: Anyone made this adapter work on a 6th Gen iPod classic? Doesn't seem to work on mine
Answer: Install, and if the iPod has a Recovery Menu, you need to Reformat/Reinitialize. Way it had to be done with my Zen Vision M 60GB. Now with 128GB using this as basically a SD->CF->Adapter.
Question: will this work for the 4th gen iPod classic? and will it work for my 3rd gen iPod classic
Answer: I was also able to get my 5th gen iPod video to work with this board. This will *NOT* work with a 4th gen iPod. I double checked my 4th gen and the connectors are different. I used a board similar to this (http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00B8A44RG/ref=mp_s_a_1_10?qid=1399258099&sr=8-10&pi=AC_SX110_SY165_QL70) with a 4 gb cf card in my 4th gen ipod.
Question: Can someone give me an update on hows this adapter has held up? Please say how long you've had it installed in your ipod. Thanks
Answer: I had it installed in a zune for a few years now and it was working good aside from a bad ZIF ribbon. I only used it for a few months In total before switching to just using my phone. Hope that helps!

User questions & answers

Question: What is its dimension / width and length
Answer: Same as a 2280 nvme SSD. If you want to put it in a laptop, you should worry about the two cables
Question: If you have sata iii ports is there any advantage to converting to m.2 or is this just for those without sata ports
Answer: There is no advantage - this only extracts the SATA connection present in the m.2 interface and wires it up to the more common style of SATA port. It *will not* make your SATA drives faster.
Question: is this can be used for Msi gt72 for the second 2.5 hard driver
Answer: Same here. I am using it on my GT72vr and it works great. replaced my m.2 with a 2.5 sdd. Now I have two 2.5 ssds. very easy to install.
Question: how long is the power cable
Answer: The white end of the cable is a 4-pin connector; removed from the pc board, the overall length of the cable is 7.5" including both connectors. The length of the exposed wires (now, not including connectors) is 6.3."
Question: will this work for a 2014 Macbook mini SSD
Answer: This is designed for the MacBook Air SSD. Shaped like a memory stick for desktops but with gold connectors at the end. Not shaped like a laptop hard drive.
Question: Will the Toshiba 1.8" 128 GB SSD Solid State Drive THNSNS128GMFP from an Apple MacBook A1466 work in this
Answer: I had a macbook air bought in 2011. This works for the SSD inside. It is a Toshiba SSD, but I forgot the number.
