Answer:	The manufacturing process of cat6 makes them a bit stiffer and thicker. They are still 24g UTP cable just wrapped tighter (hence the extra stiffness) and have an isolator between pairs causing a bit bulkier stature. They can be bent as much/less as any cat 3-6 cable can be so there are no limitations between them.

Answer:	Actually, it is a good question. Although the quality of construction is good, the actual LENGTHS of the cables relative to advertised length are SIGNIFICANTLY short. I am not a novice, been in tech for over 35 years as a profession and have used hundreds (thousands?) of cables in my time of many brands.. I know many brands are often a little short, but I decided to try Cable Matters, and I have ordered 5 multi color pack packages of 3 ft, 5' , 7' and 10', several times over a period of 4-5 years. The advertised 3' cables were LESS than 2-1/2', the 5' cables were about 4'-4", and the 10' was barely over 8', nearly 2 feet short. These are TIP to TIP measurements. When you take into account that you often can't count 2-3" at each end as usable if you have to bend (cause you can't / shouldn't bend the cable that close to the connector), then actual length of cable that you can run, bend, twist is even shorter than my TIP to TIP measurements. This is a clear example of a company squeezing a little more profit by short changing the length. When you are selling MILES and MILES of cable, cheating a few inches each cable adds up. I don't have this problem when I buy Belkin, yes I pay more, but when it says 10ft, it is at least 9-1/2 and darn close to advertised length. The irony and disappointing thing is, the build QUALITY of Cable Matters cable is very good. - So the quality is good, but if you really need the full usable length advertised, buy the next size up. Need 3 feet, buy the 5...need 5 feet, buy the 7.....need 7 feet, buy the 10. So regards the comment you should return cables if they don't meet the description...yeah, you can. I suspect most people, a short length probably won't matter or even be noticed; but if you are in the business and use cables as part of your profession, and you really need to depend on actual usable length, you can avoid buying this brand altogether if fore-warned, or get the next size up and still pay less than brands like Belkin for comparable lengths (actual length, not advertised).

Answer:	If the Category 5 system was properly installed, upgrading to 100 Mbps should not be a problem. Category 5 cable may even be able to run Gigabit Ethernet (1000 Mbps), however Category 5e is recommended for speeds above 100 Mbps. As for using a higher-grade patch cable, it can only help and cannot hurt. The weakest part of any network channel is typically the patch cable. I suggest that anyone responsible for a network should use the highest-grade patch cable available.

Answer:	That's not backwards, that's the intended use. i.e. connecting an old serial device like a scale to a PC that has USB ports but no serial ports. In general, it wil not work "backwards," i.e. you can't connect a new USB device like a mouse or hard drive to an old PC that has only serial ports.

Answer:	An ADSL cable handles both audio and video. The USB cable will handle the audio only, unless there has been a change in USB input and output and I am not aware of it. I use a Dell Inspiron Laptop Computer also and it doesn't have any ADSL connections on it, but then I have never hooked it up to a TV either. There is always Wi-Fi.
