Answer:	The ones I received are 8 inches (20cm) in length.

Answer:	I have actually received these, and they are about 8 inches long (7.75"). I don't know how another person answered 4" because that is only about half as long as they actually are. SAS 3 is the latest, though found running SAS2 was much cheaper

Answer:	Yes. I had an SSD drive connected to the back of a server's USB 3 port for weeks without issue with no external power adapter.

Answer:	I do believe you can. I'm a Mac user so I use Carbon Copy Cloner to clone my drives and it worked with that. I do use PCs as well, and there are several cloning programs that can do the same thing, I just can't remember them as I'm here at work. I did use one of them to clone my desktop drive to an SSD drive and it worked perfectly.
Question:	While listed as only for a 2.5 HDD, has anyone tested this on a Desktop 3.5 HDD
Answer:	This will not work on a 3.5 drive. The USB power supply is 5V. The 2.5 drives only use a 5V power rail, which is why this works on them. 3.5 drives have a 12V power rail, along with the 5V power rail. To run a 3.5 drive, you need an external 12V power supply. There are interfaces that come with it.

Answer:	sata spec allows for 1 meter length. *( 39.37 inches ). Longer then that and you could start suffering from line noise. Under 12 inches isn't recommended by hard drive manufacturers like seagate, for line noise / timing issues. 18 inches is safe. So is 24 / 36 inches for that matter ...
Question:	will this be good for a full atx tower case
Answer:	It should I installed mine on a Dell Tower. The length was just perfect. The hard drives were installed perpindicular to the case. This was the ony option for the hard drives. If you have a small case you may look at a shorter cable unless you have extra room. If you have a tight spot this is perfect because the "right hand" on the cable. I haven't had a problem with the cable either. Good Luck to you!

Answer:	My drives SATA drives are older and I think are all SATA 1, so I can't help you with your questions.
