Question:	Do you believe this item will work with canon xh-a1s video camera
Answer:	the canon xh-a1 is larger and wider than the Vixia R800 which is what I'm using with. If you are planing in wall mounting the canon xh-a1 i would not recommended this particular model, this bracket is excellent for small cameras, even for the Vixia R800 is a little small. in my case it worked for what i needed.
Question:	Will this work for outdoor installations
Answer:	I am using two for outdoor installations. Both affix to wood on my house or deck. The wood on my house is covered by plastic. In both cases, they are semi covered by an overhang but they have survived their first month with 12 inches of snow and flood causing rains.
Question:	Can it be used for ceiling mounting vid camera & still have camera positioned right-side-up
Answer:	Just to add to my answer here. I just tried to put my nikon d3300 on this and position the camera right side up. You can get the camera at about a 15-20 angle from the ceiling but not exactly parallel with it, but still not to bad. That all being said I still plan on just flipping the image in software.
Question:	How much weight does this hold? I'm looking at mounting a professional video camera with this to a permanent location
Answer:	This little thing has some serious holding power. After getting a cheap mount and then this there is a huge difference well worth the asking price. I'm using this for a d3300 woth an older all metal lens, but I would trust this with my much heavier d300 body woth battery grip and full on telephoto lens! It's that good. When grasping the mount from either end in both hand it doesn't budge at all while trying to apply force. Like the seller stated, what type of hardware you use to mount it will determine if it can reach its max load of 10lbs. Get some appropriate hardware for what you are mounting it to and you're gtg!

Answer:	I would say so. You can tighten the screw really wells.

Answer:	Mine had no screws. This makes sense. As an Engineer, I have designed many things. The fasteners always depend on the parts. Are you hooking it up to a metal door? A tree? Siding on a house? A 2x6 beam? These all require different screws. Screws are plentiful (one full wall at Lowes) and cheap. For this pedestal, the wrong screw can be worse than no screw.
