Answer: | Yes, it is but the picture is of an old model and is now black on off. Looks like an on off from a ps2 but is still in the same location. I just leave it on all the time and have never had a battery problem from my car. |
Question: | is it compatible with galaxy tab A |
Answer: | Metra 40-HD10 I believe is the adapter for 05 and up vehicles. |
Question: | Is this waterproof |
Answer: | I was in the same boat, just with a 2005 Toyota Matrix. I can't say anything about your car specifically but I was able to disconnect my stock stereo, hook up the adapter to the back of the radio and that, to make a long story short, was all it took. I, of course, used a drill-bit to carve out a small hole to fit the actual aux port in the dash but it works perfectly with no issues. There was no settings or installation (outside of the aforementioned steps) needed. I just press the CD button to switch back and forth between CD's and the Aux. I would highly recommend this product if you know it will work with your car. I was able to confirm this for myself by watching a youTube video. |

Answer: | Yes. |
Question: | can two of these adapters be used to connect two midi instruments to each other without an ipad or pc in the middle |
Answer: | I would think so it is Bluetooth. I have it with both a apple 8 and pioneer motorcycle/marine radio paired simultaneously for riding the motorcycle with the handlebar attachment and it works very good. It does seem to turn off by itself or timeout a little quick if you pause to long but it might be operator error |
Question: | how is it powered? Battery? How long does the battery last? What kind of battery does it take |
Answer: | This is not waterproof. |
Question: | Can i use this to connect midi keyboard to pc |
Answer: | Sorry, I can't answer this question. May simply want to check with your mechanic. Easy to install and have not had any problems with it |

User questions & answers
Question: | I have the DGX660 with no midi port. The USB to host is my only option and AC USB adapter is required, is the adapter&cable included in the packages |
Answer: | Yes. That is how I use mine. Otherwise the battery life is only ~6 hours. |
Question: | Can this device be used to wirelessly connect my yamaha piano to av receiver ( which supports both bluetooth and airplay |
Answer: | This sends midi out to a Bluetooth midi device like an iPad or a pc. I tried to use it with a key tar and since the Yamaha needs power from the midi plug, it didn't seem to really work well. I ended up returning 2 of these. Not the best product for the Keytar. It did work on powered keyboards though. |
Question: | Does this work with non-yamaha midi controllers |
Answer: | No, not unless one or the other instrument can run a virtual midi App. An app needs to be used to make the virtual link. There is no connect button or function on the midi adapter. |
Question: | Can i connect the keyboard to bluetooth soundbar |
Answer: | It draws power from the MIDI IN and OUT sockets of your instrument. No battery is required. However, I had to install the app namely "midimittr" to force my IPad Pro to regconize and wirelessly connect to my CVP-709. See more about the app on YouTube. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can you use this with yamaha cvp |
Answer: | Your AV receiver will use bluetooth to receive audio information, but Yamaha's bluetooth MIDI adapters send MIDI data, not an audio signal. So no, you can't use this device to play sound from your piano through the receiver. However, there are audio bluetooth adapters that you could plug into the piano, and any of those would let you do what you want. |
Question: | What exactly does this adaptor do |
Answer: | I just got this. It works very well with my Williams Allegro (legacy). Wonderful item from Yamaha! So neat. No wire. No cord. And tonight I was able to record several midi files with almost no latency issues. |
Question: | Can you use any wifi usb adapter to connect to the internet or does it have to be yamaha’s |
Answer: | No. This is a MIDI adapter, meaning that it sends information about how the instrument it's plugged into is being played. You can use this to control a (bluetooth capable) MIDI synthesizer from your keyboard, or you can use it to let your iPhone or iPad control some aspects of your keyboard. Yamaha provides several different iPhone/iPad apps that can be used with its keyboards, and they communicate with the keyboards via MIDI.Your sound bar, on the other hand, expects to receive digital audio. This adapter and your sound bar do both use bluetooth, but they use it to send and receive different kinds of information. The difference between digital audio and MIDI is like the difference between playing a recorded song for someone and showing them some sheet music -- they're both music, but in very different forms that each have their own purpose. |
Question: | Will it work with yamaha p |
Answer: | No you cannot, only play music. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Is the unit totally incompatible with the '13 trucks equipped with the nav unit or will it work to an extent? And is there another solution to add BT |
Answer: | It's a weirless accesspoint for the piano, enabled connecting with Ipad to the piano and control the piano from the Ipad with Yamha music application. |
Question: | Will I still be able to use my XM radio with this |
Answer: | It have to be yamaha’s the others don’t work |
Question: | Will this work on a 2008 gmc yukon xl denali with navigation |
Answer: | It works with P515 |
Question: | Can this replace the XM input for audio streaming. But still utilize built in bluetooth system for calls |
Answer: | The USB cable to connect from DGX660 USB port (on back) to the UD-BT01 is included. No AC adapter is included. To power the UD-BT01, you just plug in to any AC USB adapter. I am using some left over Apple iPhone USB chargers, and they work fine. The unit plugs directly in to the USB port of the charger, and draws only 170mW (or less than 0.04A at 5V). So, if you have any leftover USB charges from old phones, any of them should work fine. |
